Where The Raptors REALLY Rank In The Eastern Conference

Last season, the Eastern Conference was stacked with super teams like the Nets and the 76ers, but this season is different. Besides the Celtics and the Bucks, the conference has no stand-out super teams. Many Eastern Conference teams will be looking to sneak into the 3rd, 4th,5th and 6th spots. The Raptors will be one of those teams licking their lips at one of the playoff spots. In today’s video, we predict where every Eastern Conference team will finish. We have done this every season so far and last year was the worst. Let’s bounce back and hopefully, the Raptors can make the playoffs.

Where do you think the Raptors will finish this season?

  1. Philly could implode. I think the Raps might be better than Indiana, Atlanta, Orlando, Detroit… Maybe even the Cavs? So the Raps at 7 and at best 6th? Worst case, 9th. I see them 3 games over .500 to end the year.

  2. Everybody is missing out on a lot of factors for the Raptors this year. I have commented a lot on how getting rid of Nurse will improve this team by as many as 10 wins. That's right. I have blasted him in so many comments and shown why he is a bad coach, that I will leave him alone for now. Van Vleet is good but the Raptor's talent is up front and having a shoot first guard is not what the Raptors need now. I will only talk about the top 6 Raptors and mention a dark horse. C: Poetl. is consistent and there is nobody better for now. PF: Siakam with a pass first PG will have a top 5 year. SF: Anunoby shot 38.7 from 3 last year and has great defense. Look for a Kwai Leonard breakout year for him this year. SG: Trent is only 24 and will only get better. His 36.9% from 3 was one of the best with the Raps last year. He can and has won games for the Raptors in the past and he will make some imrovement this year. PG: Shroder is the best to start the year. His 3 point % was not great but he is a pretty good leader and without Lebron James interfering he will have a good year. Hey MVP in the world championships. 6th man: Barnes has a way to go and will be better off the bench. His 28.1% 3 point % last year coupled with his 77.2 freethrow % does not look good for a guard or wing player. The Raptors need shooters in these spots and Barnes is not there yet. The bench isn't bad and assuming they get to play more should show that. Dark horse: Markquis Nowell is starting PG material if he can overcome the height problem and I believe he will. He was a great leader at Kansas State last year. His 3 point % was 35.5%, his freethrow % was 88.9% and he had 8.3 assists per game. This team will get back on track. With Nurse history they belong on that 2nd tier as the 3 seed and will win between 55 and 60 wins. That above starting team is better than most teams in the East. They might even be better than the Bucks starters. I realize the Scottie Barnes groupies will not like what I said about him, but 28.1% at 3 point distance is not good enough to start at 1-3 and he is nowhere near as good as Siakam. Sorry
