On Smart replacing DB. I don’t think he was a better defender than Brooks last year, but maybe it was due to injuries?
I thought the idea of letting DB go and getting Smart was because Smart is more intelligent about what shots to take, a proven post season asset, and much more mature.
Everyone said the Grizzlies needed to get vets who were good locker room presences, and Smart and Rose seem to fit that pretty well
