I feel like we fumbled Myles growth so bad. Dude has such a unique skillset that is perfect for the modern game and we just put him in a bad position to develop for so long. He finally looked more like the idea of Myles Turner last year, but can’t help but feel like it’s too late. Still a very good starter that would fit seamlessly on most teams, but can’t help but feel that his ceiling was so much higher.

What city you get drafted to making or breaking your career is a really underrated aspect of the NBA.
A guy could go 1st overall and “bust” because he’s competing with certain other players, or maybe the coach’s system doesn’t fit, or maybe that player will have trouble staying focused somewhere, etc.
We see it pretty often where a player will plateau somewhere, they get traded, and they’re instantly way more effective. Scenery really really matters.
