    >”The board has not discussed compelling a sale of the team. And obviously ‘within a reasonable time’ is subject to interpretation,” Silver said

It’s been 5 years, it’s time to sell!

Do you understand the economics of her selling the team?

If she sells the team the money goes to the Paul Allen foundation.

If she keeps the team, the team pays her millions of dollars a year as part of the board. She is not selling the team.

Jody has been okay on the basketball ops front—I’m not sure how much better a replacement level owner would be. Could have insisted on a broader GM and coaching search. G-league team, scouting hires, potential WNBA team on the horizon, good.

Outside of basketball ops: Getting a new arena deal, trying to pull road broadcast crew, and development around the RG, bad. As yet unclear how significant the in-arena improvements will actually be.

Let’s get this Seattle ownership group awarded so Jody can move on.

Ambivalent about Jody as owner. Honestly, there has been ample time and opportunity for anonymous voices in the org to criticize her and the most we have gotten was an NYPost article and a WSJ op-Ed that paid more lip service to Phil Knight then any actual criticism of Jody.

Compare that to an owner like Dolan, Sarver, MJ, etc. I feel like if she was really as terrible as we think, there would be people backing it up. Anyone else agree?

It’s not like she’s amazing or anything but she wants to keep the Blazers in town and is willing to spend money on Rose Garden renovations, gave Dame and Norm the bag.

    Ahhh man…
I needed a good laugh today , thanks!

  6. It’s easy to make assumptions from the outside looking in because she is rather private like Paul was, and we fill the vacuum with our perceptions. She doesn’t have to attend games to cheer on the team, but she does show up game in and game out anyway. It’s hard to know if she’s a good or bad owner otherwise, we simply want to know where she stands going forward, though telegraphing those intentions to prospective buyers may undermine the bargaining position.
