Will Dennis Schroder be the Raptors’ starting PG?

   Wow you 2 are clueless. At least have some idea of the facts to back up what you are saying. Scottie Barnes is not a floor leader/general, shoots 28% from 3 and 77% from the line. Those are terrible stats and there is no room on any team at either guard or wing position for a starter like that. If Scottie Barnes starts anywhere from 1 to 3 this team will suck again. He is not as good as his groupies think. Shroder only shot 33% from 3 but has a much higher % from the line. He is more of a leader and will get the forwards the ball in good scoring positions. Gary Trent is only 24 years old and shot 37% frrom 3 and shoots much better from the line. Anunoby is a great defender, shot nearly 39% from 3 and a better freethrow shooter. Obviously Barnes cannot hold a candle to Siakam yet. My dark horse is Markquis Nowell, who if he can overcome his 5'7' stature (I think he will), will be an amazing general like at Kansas. His numbers were, 35.5 from 3, 89% from the line and he averaged 8.3 assists per 40 minute game. Shroder will start the season at point, and I look for Powell to push for more and more time at the point. Barnes is not a guard or wing player with his shooting. He needs to come off the bench as the 6th man until he imroves his overall game and consistency. C: Poetl, PF: Siakam, SF: Anunoby, SG: Trent, PG to start the year: Shroder 6th man: Barnes. This starting lineup can compete with any starting 5 and I would place them in 2nd or 3rd spot in the East now that Nick the cancer Nurse has left the building. There is no rebuild necessary. Not one of the top 7 players is over 30 yet. Scottie Barnes will have his day with or without the Raptors, but not yet and never at PG.

   Asking this would be like asking should Raptors have started Kawhi … Obviously you start the best player on your team. lol
