The Toronto Raptors are entering next season with a lot of uncertainty with Pascal Siakam, OG Anunoby, Scottie Barnes, Gary Trent Jr and their future direction. This is my take on what Masai Ujiri and Bobby Webster have done well and should be credited for since the 2019 NBA Championship and what mistakes the front office’s ego has made and why that will determine the future of the team.

Great video. Don’t underestimate a master manipulator’s ability to manipulate even the best FO; along with a group of hockey helmet media types and fans. FVV’s greatest ability is off court. He knows the game, he knows the business, and he knows how dumb the average person can be.
I have empathy for the FO. At least they did the right thing in the end. Being solid to players will go a long way.
I don’t buy into the losing players for nothing by this FO though. Fred was replace with more than he could have gotten last deadline (Schröder, McDaniels,etc.). Kawhi & Green-championship/immediately UFA so out of FO hands. The others? What did they produce for any team after they were used up by franchise. Gasol, Serge where milked pretty good as it was but yes I’d rather we got those last few drops in another contract. But they had their own milking to do.

Nah, tanking makes sense if you got a good GM and it MAKES SENSE lol. Our team does not make sense at all, OKC had no option and I wouldn't hate to be them. Though you hope it doesn't take 4+ years either. Just saying I dislike the automatic tank hate. Lets just hate bad tanking and realize it shouldn't be used often. Plus the talent in the league right now is ridiculous so turnover will be faster I would say
Edit – think of teams like the knicks, that's bad tanking. They make so many bad moves they don't actually get built up from the ground. Something to be said to drafting a couple young stars in a 3 year window
