[Olson] Cool deal from the Suns. They are giving away TV antennas so Valley fans without access to local channels can still watch for free. If you’re on a TV package that doesn’t include Arizona’s Family or don’t have one, this is for you. More details:

This is outstanding. Every team in the league should do this

More eyes = more marketing = more money

I ordered mine yesterday. It is absolutely crazy. Mat Ishbia, in one off-season, has cemented himself as one of the greatest owners in sports. The list of accomplishments in the last 6 months is staggering. He’s already done more good than Sarver did in almost 20 years.

    Huge W for Suns fans.

I remember getting an antenna from Amazon for the first time.

Me, a millennial that grew up with cable and youtube, learning about free tv that floats in the air like radio, blew my mind.

I’m surprised someone that wants to watch sports wouldn’t have an antenna already.

It’s been a while since I’ve looked into tv antennas but apparently they can get 1080 resolution now??? What? Big if true. Watching basketball in 480p isn’t great.

At least here in Philly OTA channels do not carry NBA games beyond the very occasional ABC game, so what is different in Phoenix ? For me, cutting off cable and getting an Antenna means i can rarely see live NBA games; for the playoffs i sign up to Hulu.

LeBron James yelling **”If you’re on a TV package that doesn’t include Arizona’s Family or don’t have one, THIS IS FOR YOU!!!!!!!!”**

Meanwhile defending champion nuggets fans still can’t watch their team

This is so freaking cool. As a Lakers fan who can’t watch the Laker because cheap assed Frontier, my only cable option, who doesn’t carry any local sports channels, I am very very envious.

I wonder if the paper clip antenna trick still works on the newer TVs.

Dammit, don’t make me develop a soft spot for the goddamn suns

nba needs to sign a deal with multiple major streamers and end these local cable deals and nba tv. most people nowadays just have internet and watch shows here

Thanks for sharing I just ordered one. I live 100 miles south of Phoenix and have never used a TV antenna before, does anyone know if it’ll still work that far away

I’ve never understood why the NBA and other sports leagues aren’t doing everything possible to develop viewership on the internet and why they don’t encourage their broadcast partners to also stream for free in an app.

Since cutting the cord I basically stopped watching everything but basketball. Even if you buy League Pass then you don’t get the playoffs… what a scam.

Considering what Nuggets fans have to go through to watch a game, I’d say the Suns are clear Champs in this regard.

I miss watching the Raps on CBC. Canadian OGs will know what I’m talking about.

  18. Everyone should have a TV antenna in this day and age. Don’t let streaming BS keep you from having the local channels. $20 on Amazon for a quality one

It’s crazy to me how many people are unaware of how good antenna TV is nowadays. With an antenna + internet you have all the entertainment you could possibly need.
