Please no more Siakem talk. We can't trade for anyone who won't resign with us. The biggest kick in the n#ts would be to give up all these assets and he returns back to Toronto. NO WAY!!!

Maybe it’s just “fan excited for rookie” but there just seems to be little to no margin of error with a Siakam trade plus the fit ain’t the best. I kind of want to see how Quinn develops the young guys.
Brad Rowland, how would you feel about a Bogdan trade for MPJ? I’m only proposing this trade because Bogdan and Jokic are Serbian, while MPJ is probably the NBA player that has experience playing with Trae the most pre-draft & age-wise fits with the Hawks timeline better. Is it something that would make sense for both teams? Can it be beneficial to both teams?
Even if Bufkin becomes an all-star in 5 or 6 years (he likely won’t, but just for arguments sake), not trading for Siakam is a mistake if you’re a fan that would like to see this team actually compete for something. Maximizing Trey’s output right now should be the focus of this front office IF, and that’s a big IF, they believe in Trey as a leader, and good enough to take a team all the way.
Siakam is probably the 20-25ish best player in the league, on par with Jaylen Brown. Unless they can get a player like that, or better, I think they’ll regret not making this move.
end of the day i dont think bogdanovic moves the needle for raptors. raptors are rebuilding if they trade siakam, and any combination of hunter bogdanovic or capella are just filler the raptors dont need or want. hawks picks are not great either, and if they are not willing to compensate with young guys then there is no middle ground to come to agreement. hunter may be younger but raptors have 4 wings that are younger and better than hunter. and they play better defence all of them than hunter.
