Not saying this is the case at all – no clue I wasn’t there.
But 10 years ago my buddy who played college football had his gf try to run him over with her car (like not passively she went through a ton of bushes etc.)
She then got out swinging at him (with some object I forgot) and he threw her on the ground and she hit her head against the curb.
His career was done.
Again- not defending KPJ and he went above and beyond on what he did but sometimes you have to wait for all the facts to come out. Which is why the NBA has certain wait and see policies.
Now that being said – he’s a piece of shit and will never play again.

This isn’t that unusual. KPJ had multiple assault charges and his team is saying that he’s not guilty of one of them. He’s still on the hook for the strangulation and other stuff.

So he is likely paying her off to drop the charges and not testify against him etc so he can save his career.
