  1. Arguing is perfectly healthy if it comes from a place of integrity and respect. Not every day at the office is going to end with high fives and smiles. I think a real turning point in Pop and Aldridge's relationship is when Aldridge requested a trade, and Pop told him straight-up that if he could land a top player for him, he'd drive LaMarcus to the airport. But since that trade didn't exist, it was on both of them to find a solution and make things work. One of the best parts of Pop's leadership style is that he treats his players like grown men.

  2. LaMarcus Aldridge has been a great NBA player. He routinely tortured the Spurs while playing against them in his first stint as a Trailblazer.

LaMarcus is also someone wiser from age and experience who in retrospection sees that his younger self was what old heads have called a knucklehead.

  3. Side note, the show LA appeared on, oddball with Amin el Hassan and Charlotte Wilder is great

  4. There was one game that made me fall for LA. Can't remember the opponent or anything but it was towards the end of his time in SA. Looking bad in the final minutes. Kind of game we were used to losing that season. All of a sudden the big man stepped up huge, hitting a flurry of jumpers and even making a key block. He stole us the win and it was THRILLING, everybody whooping and hugging and high-5-ing. Felt like the first time I saw that kind of joy from LaMarcus, that kind of HEART (to your point, Clan, about his typical body language). It was a hopeful moment that unfortunately did not repeat enough to be a turning point but it did win me over to Aldridge as a player. Anybody know the game I'm talking about?

  5. How are you still on this?? There was nothing wrong with his body language.

If anything, he was disrespected by the fans towards the end of his stay. Idiots thought Poetl was the better player. When in reality that overrated (defense) trash was nothing but a liability. He asked to be traded as he should’ve when it was the right time. There’s context to that first “trade request” article in 2018. And both he and Pop addressed it back then. Don’t just read headlines. It’s really starting to seem like you don’t pay attention. Or at the very least weren't watching back then.

Stop the cap with all your LA nonsense.

  6. All along it was some BS. Going at Pop for doing the right thing. Not only will you risk injury opposing teams sometimes can try to injury players in retaliation. Isaiah Thomas told his players to try to injury players in a blowout when he was coaching the knicks
