It’s for locker room and veteran help with the younger players. Even though Poole has won a chip and Kuz has won a chip they are still a young team that needs a veteran voice. And he can take some fouls…
He wasn't signed to actually play. He was brought back to be more of a veteran presence in the locker room and on the bench. A Udonis Haslem type vet. Show the youngins how to be pros

Poole is the only player on the squad who can break down a defense to attack the paint. Also Gafford off the screen game, but he needs someone to feed him. Shooting opens space for both, and for players like Kispert and Bilal to cut to the hoop backdoor. I think Shamet sticks unless we get a solid trade offer for him.
Offense-wise Wes likes to run sets 4 out 1 in. Or even 5 out with Porzingis. A lot of the time KP got the first pass after the ball was brought up, and he ran the offense from above the FT line, Jokic style. I expect Kuzma takes that role, with experience under Wes, and with his speed mismatch on most 4's. The tall passer who can either shoot, keep it, or swing to to whoever is open. I think Kuz gets his touches this way.
Wes also likes offball motions and action out of screens, this is where Poole can put opponents in scramble mode. If he commits to running offball in crossing motions and through double screens,– the Beal role– defenses will have to chase.
Tyus and Gafford/Kuz provide the pick and roll threat. Jones can pick and choose his target: Poole sprung free with screens, Jones keeps it for that midrange pull-up, quick hit to Gafford/Kuzma rolling to the paint, or kick to shooters in the corner, and a bounce pass to the cutter on the backdoor if everything else is covered.
Team game, distributed by Jones, but with options for Poole/Kuzma to free solo.

From front office point of view, wizards are not trying to win in the coming season, so this is a good sign.
Poole ran Warriors offense while Steph out and Warriors had 14-12 record. Don't underestimate Poole as a PG.
Gibson is gonna be good for gafford.. gafford come off like he started playing basketball late in life so it's still a lot he can learn

The Wizards need to put together a package to trade for the Warriors Jonathan kuminga, Moses Moody and any other young talent the Warriors release. The Wizards also need to pursue Mark Jackson, a proven teacher, developer of talent & winning Head Coach. Look at what he did with the Warriors. Most of all the Wizards need to release themselves of all their mediocre talent and start acquiring young talent from winning teams. Push the ball, run & gun…
