Within minutes of the HBO Series Winning Time wrapping up its 2nd season, reports were coming from everywhere that the series had been canceled.
Fans of the show really loved it and felt that Winning TIme was gaining momentum and was barely reaching its peak when it ended abruptly.
Winning Time ends with the Lakers losing to the hated Boston Celtics in game 7 of the 1984 NBA Finals, which will definitely have Lakers fans feeling some type of way towards HBO.
Winning Time did at least add a nice touch to the end by adding a scene with Dr. Buss and Jeanie Buss, but just having the post-1984 Lakes Glory play via text instead of scenes just didn’t sit well.
Let’s talk about it.

Salute Empire Jeff
Winning Time brought back alot of good memories. I actually attended game 6 of the championship. I can still feel the electricity from being in the Forum that Sunday afternoon. Also i met Pat Riley and Chic Hearn. I had both of there autographs which were lost in the shuffle of moving from Los Angeles to Fresno which is where I currently live.
