Marc Spears On Chris Paul:
I do expect him to start. And I think it’s like five-minute spurts. I don’t know that they really want his minutes to be high, but I think they’re gonna try it. I could be wrong, but that’s the gist I’m getting. This isn’t an opinion that he’s expected to start. It’s what I’m hearing. He’s never not started in his career.

Steph Curry On Chris Paul’s role:
We obviously have a lot of questions to answer about who’s starting and who’s finishing. That’ll play itself out. At the end of the day, we all are motivated to win— I’m sure nobody more than him.

Steve Kerr On Chris Paul’s role:
I think that’ll be a case where you get three weeks of training camp before that first game. We’ll just look at all kinds of different combinations. The main thing is we know all those guys are going to play a lot of minutes.

Even if you don’t want to, he’s going to find you and come talk to you. That’s the thing people don’t see behind the scenes. He’s the best human being I’ve ever been around.

    I wanted the dubs to sign cam Payne but they’re so stupid. I could’ve had 3 open spots if they didn’t sign TWO ROOKIES instead of one. I feel like they didn’t need to sign the Podziemski dude. We don’t even need another guard though.

    Dubs were once known as the "check your ego at the door" team. That's when it worked and they were the fun to watch team. Now they have to adjust to the CP-Ego? He's better (for the team) coming off the bench and playing with a big man and lob threat JK.

    All they gotta do is put cp3 and Dwight to start instead of wiggins and looney for about 4 minutes, sub, then keep them in bench rotation

    I mean, we have a million point guards on the roster right now…could really just use a big (Dwight?) to bang out some fouls against the really big guys and rebound, and another sniper to spell Klay (in addition to Moody).

    For all the people who didn't or still don't understand why the W's would trade young Poole for old Paul, well….

    ….let me put it this way, which would be better for you team? To have Poole paid that much for that long….or to find somebody on the cheap scrapheap for WAY less that does while obviously not the same things that Poole can do, enough of what you want from that role/spot/position?

    THAT has been the point. If you like Poole that much sorry, you bought into koolaid and don't really understand value and worth to a team, how team building works as far as efficiency and value.

    Poole just isn't all that despite how pretty his good grooves are. And he is feathery small and a tweener position-wise, always need to make up for his D, and is a gunner who can pass but it's not his thing really….sure, go ahead and feel free to overrate Poole again this year, he will have great outwardly looking counting stats in pts and some assists just due to minutes and role with Wiz. But for THAT contract? And the W's so much over the luxury tax and for so long already? AND you then get somebody with all time high hoops IQ even if he's losing a half step (but Paul's assists and efficiency were still good, not great anymore but solid, and he won't have to play as many minutes and could help the 2nd unit even though he may start (they'll stagger the minutes, different combos will be tried unless one works right away.)

    As i always say, even if Paul gets hurt that trade was the wise one to make. It's simply not about Poole in any way other than they were smart, saw he was overpaid for what he is (they paid him to keep him and find out, and to not lose him for nothing.) And that they got an all time hungry for his first title vet in Paul too?

    No brainer.

    And yeah, i know this is about Cam Payne….but that's exactly why i "went here." Even some shlub (i actually like his back up PG fill in starter and do well enough game) but even just Cam Payne can give you actually not that far off of Poole's production for WAY WAY less.

    Warriors have 2 open roster spots and 1 more two way contract to use. They can sign Dwight Howard and Cam Payne(if he’ll take min)

    I would be fine with signing cam if we hadn’t already signed Corey Joseph,we really don’t need another roster spot on a gaurd we NEED a big at least one guy over 6’9

    If CP3 is running the point, what is Dray doing on the court? Seems confused to have those two together.
    Loon starts at center. Dray off the bench for some Poole party revenge.

    B for me. Don't think of trading Kuminga Warriors. He is the future of the franchise when superstar Steph Curry, Thompson, Green is through with their basketball careers. Together with Davis from Indiana will carry the Golden State Warriors team someday.

    Absolutely not for CP3 starting! We have the best starting five in the league and the worst bench. If he wants to help win he will need to come off the bench and maybe even finish games but if he has to start then the season is already lost because of his ego. In actuality I'm not really in favor of a starting five but it has to be like that in the NBA because of money and egos. I prefer matching up against teams with the best matchup of your roster so one night you might go small and the next night you can go big if you have to.
