(Robb) The door remains open from the Celtics end per sources on a return but whether Blake Griffin prefers to stay out west is an open question at this point. If Griffin comes back, a midseason return is a far more likely scenario.

Wow midseason! PJ Brown style huh, something good happened that season right 👀

He just doesn’t want to go through preseason practices

I like Blake. I liked what he brought to the Celtics last year. Those 6 minutes in the playoffs were worth it because he was such a useful garbage time and depth player, and brought great bench vibes.

I want him to sign and be on the bench from game 1. He can skip training camp. But game 1 is the start date.

Teams develop chemistry throughout the year. The team may need the 15th man in game 1 (blowout win!). They definitely need bench vibes in game 1.

    No “mid season return”. Sorry.

He doesn’t bring anything to the table except bench vibes and garbage minutes. If everyone else is healthy, he plays 6 minutes in the playoffs. He’s not worth holding open a roster spot or displacing someone who is putting in the work from day 1.
