Who is truly the 4th GROAT?

I see this one going back and forth on this sub a lot with no consensus.

Pic 1: per game stats as a Raptor plus awards (most improve missing for Pascal and all rookie first team missing for Bosh)

Pic 2: per 36 stats as a Raptor

Pic 3: total stats as a Raptor

    It’s Vince Carter

I have Siakam 3rd overall after his last season and I struggle to see how one can really argue Bosh did more as a Raptor.

  2. Put Pascal on Bosh’s team and I think the team’s record gets worse.

Bosh won some of those games back in the day with teams throwing doubles and triples at him because the rest of the team was not good. He was clutch in the fourth and always stepped it up.

That’s one thing missing from Pascal as the first option. He doesn’t really have a killer instinct in the fourth where he can just takeover.

2 1st rd playoff losses vs 1 1st rd win (as the #1) and 1 chip as the #2

Being a late 1st round pick and playing with better players sandbagged Siakam early career ppg.

Bosh was racking up 20/10 seasons and all-star appearances at a time when the power forward was insanely deep across the league, and his teams really weren’t that great. I’d put him above Pascal very easily.

    Bosh over Siakam.

People forget that Bosh was really our only good player during basically his entire time here. You didn’t have anyone else who had a shot at being an all star on those teams.

He was a 5x all star on a bad team and would’ve started if it wasn’t for KG being ahead of him in the same position.

Put Bosh on a team like the early 00s Raptors or the mid-late 10s Raptors and it wouldn’t be a question.

I think it’s somewhat unfair to judge off their team records and playoff runs as Pascal has played with much better teammates.

Bosh had a longer span of being an All-Star level player as he came into the league as one of the top prospects of his class while Pascal took time to improve his play. Bosh also played most of his years on really bad TOR teams, leaving with him a heavier workload (reason for why his numbers are better).

As of now, I think Bosh is greater than Pascal in regards to their career on the Raptors. Pascal is the better all around player than Bosh, while Bosh had the better peak from an individual standpoint.

For me, Pascal would have to pass Bosh by either having another 1 All-NBA level season, winning another championship, or signing an extension and passing him through longevity. It would be interesting to see how this conversation would look has they switched places.

    Vince.
    Lowry.
    Bosh.
    Siakam.

Raptors might not be a franchise still if it weren’t for Vince Carter. He was that electric! Ja Morant athleticism on a 6’6″ SG/SF 20 years before Ja. They called it the Air Carter Center. A bonifoed superstar and HOFer.

Siakam is great! But of the three remaining players, put him on his own and see how well the team plays. Are they a Bosh level team? A Carter level team?

I’d say somewhere close to Bosh…but Bosh was ahead of his time.

  9. Bosh is my guy, but I’m gonna lean toward the guy that actually wants to be a Raptor.

I think playoffs as first option (2 for Pascal, unless I’m forgetting one) puts Bosh and Pascal in a tie and then the ring as 2nd/3rd option puts him ahead. And if he has a monster year this year then the Raps stats will be argument enough

  11. Pascal Siakam. He played with strong players limiting his PPG early on.

Vince Carter. Siakam is either 2 or 3 right now, neck and neck with Demar.

Vince’s one playoff round win and zero 50 win seasons don’t top P’s ring. P has already matched Vince’s career All NBA selections, and he’s not even 30 yet.

  13. Bosh was never a 1 or 2 option on a championship team. Pascal was.
