I find it hard to believe we weren’t shopping him prior to this..

Not surprised. We are loaded to the gills with guards. Buddy was a great catch and shoot player but this team is too young for him at this point in his career. Hopefully we can get a nice little haul for him.

  3. festar35_Pacers

Makes sense for both side to me.

Damn. I really like buddy. And he’s a sniper. But I guess if you look at the long term we do need to pay a lot of people and Buddy seemed to not have been on our priority list.

Send him to a contender where he can win a ring.

If this is the end of the Buddy Hield era it was a lot of fun 🫡

    I get it…but this sucks.

Maybe the Lakers will offer a protected first round pick for someone who’s in 7th grade.

Why on earth did he make it past February if this was going to be the outcome

  9. General-Promotion274

Dang I actually really liked his short tenure here

My guy. I hope he’s happy wherever he ends up

I love Buddy and would hate to see him go. But his minutes might be limited now. I don’t think we can find a shooter like him. And that is a skill that’s hard to find. If he has to go make sure it’s to the West but NOT the Lakers.

I like Buddy but this was always going to happen
If we’re going to trade for anything, let’s get IJAX’s ass packaged in that deal and let’s get a genuinely good backup big

I’d field calls and wait. See if we can get in on this Lillian miami deal that’s reported to be picking up steam

Well, that sucks because Buddy has been a true professional and seems like a great chemistry guy. Pure money from behind the line. I’m sure Pritchard will set him up nicely. It seems like Pritchard goes out of his way to treat the players right as far as a destination city when it comes to trades, especially when the players have been great stewards of the franchise and state.

Buddy is still a touch underrated and we’re absolutely going to miss him when he’s gone, but he’s been ticketed for a trade since we got him. Glad we got to watch him for this long.

Sucks. Especially for Ty since he loves Buddy so much.

Should have kept Duarte. I’m still confused why they dumped him when they didn’t have Buddy tied up long term.

  18. DomantasLevert

Makes me sad because he’s a great dude and an extremely underrated player but it’s the best thing to do for both sides. Hopefully we can flip him for an equivalent wing however it’s hard to come up with an example

It sucks, but this is the type of move good teams have to make to maximize a real championship window

  20. ThereIsNothingForYou

This fucking sucks. One of the most underrated guys in the league.

  21. fuzzynavel34

Tried telling people here that he wasn’t going to be part of our long term plans

  22. Learnin2Shit

Hate to lose buddy but he deserves a bag somewhere. Great sniper

  23. SpinJitsu259

This was a very obvious possibility.

  24. AccomplishedFront563

Losing Buddy might hurt more than we think depending on the progress of Mathurin and Jaraces 3pt shot

Our best offense was with him and Haliburton on the floor

I hope we can get a decent pick for him, he’s great
