Some good stuff here with more apparently to come. This first part was mainly how Finch is trying to use more structure to make the two bigs work on offense. Little interesting bits/thoughts:

    * Gobert was used to chasing the second action with a subsequent pick and roll in Utah. However, now more teams are switching late in the shot clock. If the first action is toast, Finch would rather Rudy stay patient in the dunker spot and rely on the perimeter players somehow getting penetration. Hopefully that leads to Rudy’s guy committing or if he doesn’t commit a shot for the ball handler.

    * When Finch talks about structure it’s pointedly about the two bigs. He wants to cut down on their optionality and with less options there will be less of the bigs stepping on each other’s toes and as much space as they can muster with both on the floor.

    * It’s not hard set, but he’d obviously like KAT and the guards to defensive rebound more. Objectively the team just needs more rebounding. Secondarily, this frees Rudy to rim run in transition and then KAT can settle into the trailing 3.

    * This wasn’t said, but it’s the impression that I get that KAT and Rudy just need to know they are both magnets of the same polarization. They each need to be aware of where the other is. They need to recognize when the other has advantageous position and repel/retreat/fallback into whatever Finch’s few structured actions he’s suppose to do for the offense to retain its spacing.
