As someone who hasn’t been to a game in over seven years because of the cost, this is so demoralising.

I’m sure there are fans that participated in the survey that don’t live near Toronto (hence so many choosing location as a reason), but as someone with three kids it pains me to think that it may be a while before I can take them to games and enjoy them like I did at their age. I know it’s impossible to go back to Sprite Zone prices, but I have felt my fandom wane a little bit because going to a few games per season just isn’t possible these days

MLSE is going to price out families just like they have with the Leafs, and I do wonder how this will affect fan engagement in the future. Especially with the cost of pretty much everything else but bananas getting out of control.

As long as the Raptors are ‘winning’, popularity is high and games continue to sell out I can’t see anything changing. There’s limited capacity for games and the demand is obviously there. Businesses are going to business.

And the crazy thing is still many kids going to the games. Lots of rich people out there

Last game I went to Jalen Rose came off the bench and torched the Kings – I’m 90% sure I paid about 50$ for a seat.

I haven’t been to a Raps game in person since the championship year. Cost is 1/3 issue, getting downtown ( from Waterloo) is 2/3.

We’ve been to a lot of 905 games, as that is far better on both issues. When the kids were younger it was not a big deal as long as we were watching hoops.

We are going to go this year, but damn the tickets are still not on sale yet.

  5. when do tickets go on sale for this season? literally no info about it on the inter-web

I’ve been to 2 in my life. Same with the Leafs. It’s just way too expensive.

If you sit in the 100’s area, do you subtract the 3rd quarter since they’re probably not in their seats?

I’ve been on the waiting list for a season ticket for 5 years. They took my $200 deposit and I doubt I’ll get a call.

Ticket resale in Toronto is really, really bad too but I doubt they do much about it.

Easy solution my friend. Find ways to and make more money.
