Blazers trying to have their cake and eat it too, spent zero time trying to fulfill promises to build competitor around Dame and wasting all the time in the world trying to nickel and dime any Dame trade partners #SMH
Dame wont go to Toronto off the fact that mitchell, embiid and giannis might potentially become available next summer or the summer after. Those are places you use all your assets on to fit their timeline around pascal not dame. With dame you only get a 2 year window

Promising to not honor a legal contract to avoid a trade is, by definition tampering; but at the same time, the Blazers are in this situation because they’ve been using Dame to sell season tickets and merchandise while skimping on the roster to avoid the tax, thus guaranteeing mediocrity and duhh, losing their cash cow! I said 4 years ago to trade Dame in his prime to acquire the most assets Before!.. he loses his value with age, hello!
Toronto wouldn't trade Barnes for KD so I highly doubt they would now offer him for Dame 1 yr later.
Miami does NOT need to raise anything. Blazers are as good at negotiating as they are at building a team around dame.

Prediction, Miami deal is never good enough, no one else strongly needs Dame unfortunately. Dame plays full season with Blazers. They try to run it back with Dame, Ant, Grant, Nurk, Thybulle as starters, Scoot, Sharpe, Little, Walker, Murray off bench. That's 130-140 points per game of offense, not much defense. Huge hole behind Nurk – why didn't they resign Eubanks for a minimum deal? Good enough to make mid to lower tier of playoffs/play-in. Next off-season Dame sees what happens with Embiid, Giannis & tries to end up with one of them.
The Raptors would never, ever trade Scottie Barnes. They walked away from KD for Scottie. Masai as difficult if not more difficult then Pat Riley. At best It would be Siakam and salary fillers.
If We Can't get Dame then we the North need to drive up the price and end up coming out of this Trade with Tyler hero… Portland gets its haul.. Miami gets Dame after given up as much they possible can give.

You are underrating Bari. He isnt a "weird" small ball center. He is a small center. Plyometrics can probably get his vert up to 38". Some Giannis juice could get him into the 40" range. His defensive IQ is underrated. He's more than a rebounder and he should already be our secondary DHO option behind Nurk.
