RAPTORS FAMILY: SCOTTIE BARNES LOOKED GOOD IN THE LAST RICO RUN, BUT…

  1. Love these kind of conversations, people are gonna quickly realize that this ain't the Fred and Pascal show anymore. This is the Scottie, Pascal, Dennis,Og and Jakob show featuring Gary Trent Jr and the second unit. If Scottie really wants to play point he needs to be more conservative with 3 point attempts set up other team mates and score in the clutch, don't have to be a 3 point shot. Scottie thrives and bullies people in the post we all know that. If Pascal the king Scottie is the ace

  2. Scottie is not a shooter. He's a facilitator that has size.
He does't look comfortable shooting the ball. He needs to go to the basket.

  3. You make good points but haven't we been asking him to be more aggressive. I saw the evolution of selfish Scottie, aggressive Scottie. It looked good to me.

  4. 20 8 and 7 incoming barnes our clear second best player he gonna show out this year..He starting to realize dudes cant match his pshycality.. its bbq
🍗 when he operates around free throw area

  5. This is why it's Pascal's team. Scottie can't get the same consistent baskets like Pacal at this time.

  6. Scottie "bully" barnes that gonna be his nickname yall heard it on the chev show 😂😂

  7. i hear you BUT – scottie came into a team full of proven players with a ring and aspirations to get back to the finals. they would have cussed his ass out if he tried to be selfish and look for his shot Thats why NOW they probably cleaning house and giving scottie the keys. i see him being more aggressive once pascal and fred are both gone.

  8. facilitators like ben simmons, westbrook, gianis that are useful for pushing the offence in FULL COURT TRANSITION (easy buckets) then useless in slow pace PLAYOFF, half court offence. if his to be like chris paul, dennis roader, he needs some kind of inside jumpershot to command attention to make an opening pass. well maybe he can do the full court then dennis does the halfcourt while he gets the rebounds

  9. Scottie needs to sit down with Amare Stoudamire to figure when to shoot and when to go BamBam on dem

  10. This is what the summer is for, developing skills. Why would he consistently work at what he's already good or great at? There is time for those things but shooting was a weakness coming out of college and he's been putting in the work since to get better at it. He also looked more assertive which he had issues with last season. When the team is struggling, he as a leader has to be able to go get his, and that takes practice.

  11. Okay lets talk on Hall of fame level. Your right but your wrong. Its not about shooting but Scottie does need to be aggressive offensively. If hes scoring it will unlock the shooters Gmoney, gradey, flyn, og etc. You had such a Gr8 example i think you missed it. Joe & Zeke in detroit. Scottie & Pascal need to share it. We need to see if Scottie can run a team better than P. Or hes gonna wanna see….#RapNation

  12. For me all I want for scottie is to have him be 33-35% from 3, nothing over the top, just a threat.

  13. Masai needs to decide who's team this is. Scotties or Pascals. We can't merge two timelines together. Pick one and trade the other It's very simple.. just make a decision so we can stop being mid and move forward.

  14. A Rico run is like a bodybuilder practicing poses. You can do all the poses you want but if you ain’t got no muscles you ain’t winning any competition. 🤣

  15. Nowadays, fans look at the sports through social media lenses – all they want are flashy, IG-TikTok moments… they care only about Steph Curry type of performances and none of Draymond type of contributions

  16. Cavs surrounded Lebron with shooters to win it all.. I think the same scheme works well with SB

  17. All he needs is enough of a shot so defenders cant sag and he’ll be even better inside .. he dont gotta be KD

  18. I think you are right on point with Scottie leading by example first. That always has to be first.
Otherwise he can talk to his teammates but it will have no credibility.

  19. He should work with whoever helped Lonzo fix his form. Scotties form is slow and ugly lol. He even has an awkward pause before he shoots on pull ups. Almost like he needs to really gather and gear up before he shoots. Surprisingly his turnaround fade is smooth and has better mechanics.

  20. Another thing I took from that Rico run is that Chris Boucher and Malachi Flynn will definitely NOT be a raptor for much longer. Just terrible

  21. I want Scottie to be the next Draymond or a Ben Simmons that ain't afraid to dunk it. I don't want a jack-of-all-trades, nobody thrives as a jack-of-all-trades in real life. Real life we pay the big bucks for specialists. Who does your family doctor refer you to when they have no fucking clue? the specialist. jack-of-all-trades is great for filling gaps, but they don't bring the team to new heights. Kawhi was a jack-of-all-trades at an elite level, but hes a unicorn, expecting people to be that is setting them up for failure. They have to discover that themselves. You think Shaq was worried about shooting 3's? End of the day, a blunt object is better against thick armor than a finely crafted blade and a blunt object is way easier to make. Sometimes you just need hammers for nails than some fancy gadget.

  22. All we need is for Scottie to be a selfish enough scoring threat so the opposing defense isn't allowed to sag off and clog all the passing lanes.

  23. He should work Reggie Miller, Magic and Olajuwon on his game, Miller on his shooting, Magic on learning to really run the floor with good IQ and making the right decisions at critical moments, Hakeem on his foot work, Post game and defence and the rest with Darko.

  24. Chev your analogies and level of thinking is way too advance to not pursue a career as an analyst.

I love the way you break down Scottie's Development.

In economics, this would be called opporrunity cost. For those of you who dont know what that is,
    I posted the meaning here:

When economists refer to the “opportunity cost” of a resource, they mean the value of the next-highest-valued alternative use of that resource. If, for example, you spend time and money going to a movie, you cannot spend that time at home reading a book, and you can't spend the money on something else.

  25. Your knowledge and breakdown of the Raptors overall team has me thinking,
The Raptors have a front line of Pascal, OG and Jacob that's good for 4 to 5 years, yet we trying to build around and accommodate Scottie ,
I hope it works out and I think this year is the tell all cause we should be able to place in the top 6 in the East.

  26. finding that youtubes desire to control thought and control society and questionable businesses practices I will be switching my consumtion of raptors nba content to other platforms that don't promote censorship and mind control of society. its important enough that I feel its necessary . so if you post on rumble i'll find and listen to you there.

  27. SB got way to much handed to him to early (starting position, able to play through mistakes instead of observing from the bench etc.) which is why his work ethic has been questioned by the vets
