[PHNX Sports] Outside Phoenix, Ayton is viewed as an enticing piece who could help facilitate a Lillard trade. Sources in Portland confirmed that Ayton’s name has come up multiple times over the last few weeks, and PHNX Sports reported last year that the Blazers had interest in the Suns big man.

>One source went as far as calling them (the trade offers on Ayton) “trash,” so the Suns kept their former No. 1 pick through the offseason, adding Beal and a coach with championship experience in Frank Vogel. Vogel, who’s become known as a “big man whisperer” throughout multiple stops around the league, has been high on Ayton’s All-Star potential and his ability to anchor Phoenix’s defense.

>One source described Lillard’s attempt to force his way to Miami as Kevin Durant’s trade to the Suns all over again. But the Heat don’t want to wait until midseason to land Lillard, so as inevitable as his arrival in South Beach may feel, a source described Miami as “desperate” to get Dame now. The Heat have contacted numerous teams around the league to help facilitate a deal, knowing their current offer for Lillard is subpar. They need to involve a third or even fourth party in order to get over the hump.

Who exactly would Phoenix get in this deal?

    Desperate? Like shipping Jimmy desperate?

Jimmy Butler doesn’t want to wait until midseason either. He’s a bigger factor in this entire saga than I think he’s been given credit for. He wants a deal done now too.

The Suns value Ayton. They don’t value him at his current price. That’s the conundrum. They’re not willing to just let Ayton walk out the door without compensation. Is Nurkic enough? Probably not, but he is cheaper and expires sooner. Saving money on the tax bill helps, but it’ll take more than that for the Suns to move off Ayton and get worse.

The more moving parts there are, the less likely a deal is to occur, but there’s a lot of motivation to make a deal in Portland and Miami’s side. Both teams have been bluffing throughout the summer, but they wanna do a deal. Just on their teams. Miami wants to do a deal without gutting their roster to do it. They all wanna come away as the “winner of the deal”.

Enticing doesn’t mean good idea. Those chili cheese fries were enticing until my butthole had to deal with the results the next morning. Ayton is chili cheese fries.

So the Blazers would land Ayton and what else?

What do Ayton’s knees have to say about this?

Bro called the trade offers trash lmao

I do not believe that Vogel is that much in love with Ayton if he’s watched any recent clips. This is just PR to get the trade value up.

  10. Nurk for Ayton? Nurk has way too many injuries in the last 4 years. Suns are nuts.

Hmmm, Jokic and Embiid are the last three MVPs.

    Conclusion: Skimp on your center!
