We needed Demarcus Cousins badly that draft but he was a known head case. Evan Turner was the shooting guard we needed, but he could not shoot. It was the same problem we had when we drafted Ben Simmons instead of Brandon Ingram.

Unfortunately for the Sixers so many of our top draft picks that pretty much were a consensus good pick at the time were unable to live up to the expectation or draft position. Iguodala, Evan Turner, Jahlil Okafor, Nerlens Noel, Ben Simmons, Markelle Fultz. It's just unfortunate. Iggy was supposed to take over for AI, and it became clear real fast that he wasn't that type of player that could actually carry a team or become a superstar or perennial all-star.

Doug Collins was a terrible coach. He killed young players’ confidence and didn’t do much to maximize the strengths of the players we had. He was too ego driven and focused too much on his own style of play and not the best style of play for the personnel we had at the time
