I think most of us expected this would be the case. Hart’s been at the 4 for spurts throughout his career, he’s so good of a rebounder hopefully it doesn’t affect us too much
With so many guys on the team who can play multiple positions, I predict we’ll go back to a 10 man rotation as opposed to 9 from last year. We have too many solid players to keep it to only 9 imo
Remember the days when we were clowned for having too many power forwards?
Considering our old backup PF (obi) only played like 10 minutes a game, we can probably get away with this in the regular season. But if Randle has to miss any significant time during the year we’re fucked.
I personally think Josh Hart at the four can work for short stints, but if he has to play starter minutes at that position, then it’s not viable. Especially since we have literally no other depth for that position.
I just really do not like the idea of playing a 6’4″ player significant minutes at the 4. He may be a great rebounder for a guard, but I think we may be in for a rude awakening when he has to fight true power forwards for rebounds instead of other guards.
Didn’t Sims do well in Obis absence last season or am I misremembering?
