My 2 cents is that the Heat know the offer Portland wants from other teams is never materializing, and the talks going on are possibly third or fourth teams potentially helping us dish out assets to give to Portland. Whole situation today feels like another bullshit smokescreen by Portland’s front office.

Considering there were reports that they wanted Bam in a potential Dame trade, I can see why they wouldn’t go beyond the initial offer (whatever it was). Going too far would either be a lateral move or not even be worth the trade at all. Plus if he does get traded to another team, he could be with us by the Deadline if he asks out again.
