You know, I will find it to be very funny if in the end of all of this, it turns out that the only ones discussing a trade are the fans and the media while the Heat and Blazers FO never actually discussed the possibility, not at length at least.
There’s been some talk about the Blazers “avoiding” the Heat, but there’s this one guy saying that there’s been not much effort from the Heat side as well and this guy is the same guy who was very frustrated with the same behaviour from the Miami Heat, when it turned out someone else completed a trade for a player the Heat was speculated to be chasing after.
Well, I hope the Heat ends up getting this deal done and Damian joins the Miami Heat, because he definitely fits the team needs as a scorer, shooter, point guard.
But the funniest part in all of this would be if he ends up getting traded to another team and said team pays a very high price for it, overpays even…
Then if that happens I will be thinking about the possibility that the Heat allowed themselves to be used as a way to improve Lillard’s trade value and never really seriously wanted to trade for him to begin with.
