People like to criticize D-Lo and how he played in Denver series but Lakers wouldnāt of made it to the western conference finals without him.

Need D to train that 3 point shot and defense
DLo received way too much heat for that Nuggets series. He was awful we get it. But what Lakers fans don't realize is that he is still a dynamic player even if he has a bad series. He's going to win you a lot of games when you put the ball in his hands and he shows up most of the time in big moments.
People barking on his defense only see what he does 1 on 1. Not what he can do as an off ball defender. What's funny is I compare this Lakers team to like a car. AD is the car itself. LeBron is the engine. But DLo is the driver while Reaves and Rui are the tires. If DLo plays well, this team is hard to stop.
Also can we knock off the talk that he got benched a lot in crucial moments for his defense? DLo has played 37 games since coming back to the Lakers. In those 37 games, 15 of them had "Clutch time", he was only benched for 5 of those games.
When DLo gets benched, it's only for two reasons, either he didn't have a good shooting game or the guy on the bench is also having a good game and it just made more sense to keep them there
He canāt shoot in big games
DLo didn't have a great series against GSW or the Nuggets. But it's his defense that bothers me more than his lack of shooting during those series. It's why I would love to see the Lakers bring him off the bench and start Vincent at the PG position. Let Reaves handle the distribution of the ball. The Lakers have some great defensive players … and defense wins championships!
I love D LO GAME
One of the big problems with DLo is he was so focused on the next contract and year rather than seize the opportunity of the moment and focus on winning a championship last year. He will want to do better this year, but he is a feels guy and wants his stamp on the team. We will see if he can learn the balance and not think of self.
Gabe Vincent is a better defender than both.
