[Stein] The Toronto Raptors have convinced numerous teams around the league that their interest in trading for Lillard is genuine.

> The Toronto Raptors have convinced numerous teams around the league that their interest in trading for Lillard is genuine.

> The uncertainty at this point stems more from gauging Toronto’s true willingness to push all the way forward with its Lillard pursuit when it’s believed that the All-Star guard, behind the scenes, remains so resistant to the idea of becoming a Raptor.

Damn they bout to send dame to the gulag

Wait I know how this ends – they don’t trade for Dame

  3. anunobee

They’re calling other teams saying “no bro we’re so serious”

  4. Syndana23

Wonder what their package would be in that situation

Such a brainless decision by Masai and Bobby. They’re sniffing their own farts too fucking much with refusing to blow the team up at the deadline and now tripling down on making this team a purgatory

Is OG, Dick, Filler (Boucher / Thad / Otto) + 1 x FRP a better deal than what reported deal Miami are offering? They likely waive Thad and Otto and move Boucher for a couple of seconds in this construction

Dame, Gary, Scottie, Pascal and Yak are a top 4 team in the east IMO. Boston and Mke the only teams clearly better

Unfortunately, I think this is all a smoke screen and he ends up in Miami. Toronto are kicking tires looking for a Black Friday deal on Dame. But my guess is he gets to Miami. Look at the last superstars to demand trades to specific destination, KD to Suns, Harden to Nets and even AD to Lakers, they all got them

People act like going for Lillard doesn’t make sense but it definitely makes some sense. They don’t own their pick right now and if they stand pat, there’s a decent chance that could be a lottery pick. Siakam and OG both have one year on their contracts and if Siakam doesn’t make an all NBA team, there’s very little incentive for him to stay with the raptors and OG could walk as well. If they get Lillard, they have a good shot of being contenders and it might help them keep their free agents.

Doing nothing seems really risky to me because if things don’t go well this season, they could end up giving up a lottery pick and losing two of their best players for nothing.

And why do they need to convince other teams lol

What’s funny about this is when people were pitching the 3rd + Simons for Siakim and OG (regardless of whether the raptors would take that deal) everyone was saying that the Blazers still wouldn’t be contenders. Now that it’s the raptors trying to put those 3 together it’s a no brainer for the raps?

Just hurry up and do it then Masai and then buyout OPJ so the Warriors can bring him home.

Schröder and Dame about to get a ring.

I know it’s very unlikely, but I’d laugh if we somehow get OG and Nurk for Ayton. Still wouldn’t like the downgrade to Nurk, but OG certainly helps lol

Such a stupid move. We’re in no position to do this, and if we do our destiny is to become the 2022 Chicago Bulls with even fewer picks.

  16. What_Huh_

Dame, GTJ, OG or Scottie (whoever isn’t traded), Siakam, Poeltl

Schroder, Precious, McDaniels, Koloko off the bench.

Assuming the rest of the current roster could be traded as an asset (Dick) or salary filler (everyone else).

I’m in. Even if it’s only a 2-3 year window as a contender. And I fully admit they probably wouldn’t be favourites in the East, but they would definitely be in the conversation.

  17. the_greasy_one

If Toronto trades the type of player Dame would have wanted to have on the Blazers (Siakim) it would be so ironic.

  18. BozePerkovic

Oh this is actually real, still not going to get him and even if we do he’s not gonna play fuck it
