  1. The East is a 2 team race. Celts or Sixers. Gotta get it out the mud in the West. Like Ja said…. I'm not good in the West or whatever he said 😂😂😂

  2. I think the team that will surprise the most is Memphis with the addition of Smart and getting back Steven Adams. I actually think Smart fits better than Morant

  3. 3 team trade. Minnesota Portland Miami. Minnesota get Tyler herro Kyle Lowery. Portland gets Rudy Golbert and Miami get Dame dollars.

  4. Everyone wins in the trade. Portland gets a much needed center to go with scoot. Minnesota gets a complimentary starter and veteran leadership. And Dame get to go where he wants.

  5. OKC will be the war desk for contending and desperate teams until they’re not.

Also y’all got me agreeing w Bontemps. Wyd.

  6. Wolves made playoffs in 2017 after the stupid trade for Jimmy Butler who forced his way out for Robert Covington and Saric. Wolves always try to microwave cook success and fall on their face but never learn and just did it again. Traded Lavine ,Kris Dunn(Wolves fans wanted Jamal Murray and Tibbs passed on him in the draft), and Lauri Markkanen and didn't learn a thing. Rudy Gobert is a black hole on offense he cannot play with Edwards at all. Wolves had top offense in NBA the year before Gobert and were around 15 in defense. They were lower than 20th on offense and improved D to top 10. With Edwards is that the direction you want to go? Gobert will be useless in 2 years making 46 mill on the final year of his contract. They would be better off cutting bait with Gobert who is clearly declining as a player and keeping Towns and Naz. And the kicker of all this is they included Walker Kessler in the Gobert trade and he's already a more valuable player for 5% of the salary Gobert makes. If you traded out just Gobert for Kessler what does the roster and salary cap sitiation look like now? And Tim Connelly almost jumped ship for Wizards job. I would have bought him a 1st class ticket.

  7. Doesnt matter if Grizzlies have 2 great shooters starting with Smart, Smart will still be taking and missing all the clutch shots since he will be left wide open.

  8. Wolves are operating under direction of Mark Lorie and cosigned by A-rod. They simply take their plan to Glen Taylor who is still majority owner and he signs off on it as they draw it up because they will be taking over control by end of this season. Lorie and Arod pushed for the Rudy trade because they are planning on forcing yet another publically funded stadium on the fans in Minnesota. They just got a billion dollar state of the Art football stadium after and MLB stadium a new college football stadium and a hockey arena. So they are trying to find a way to fund it privately and they will just overcharge and get all their money back and then some. They better be careful because they already took a huge misstep with the Gobert trade and Edwards doesnt like playing with him. Edwards liked a tweet after the season that called the Gobert trade the worst trade ever. He also said he is not afraid of Gobert at all defensively prior to the trade and he also said the paint is clogged up and he can't drive to the basket with him there. And Edwards almost never ever passes to Rudy(because he usually drops is or fumbles it out of bounds) and Conley was brought in specifically to make Rudy look and feel better. Non stop talk about how he knows where Rudy likes the ball and how hes going to be so much better with him. Rudy's only skillset even after Conley is catching a lob or 2 a game and some offensive putbacks thats it. He has zero offense outside of 3 feet from the rim and complains about not getting the ball and he cannot catch.

  9. To Bontemps- you should look into a rift between Anthony Edwards and Anfernee Simons. It appears they are both nicknamed Ant-man. After a game with the Blazers last year Ant said he doesn't understand why Simons is called Antman. He said his name is ANF not ANT like his so he doesn't like it because he wants to be the real Antman. So if you want to be valuable to Anthony Edwards help find a new nickname for Anfernee Simons and Im sure if you talk to Anthony Edwards about this he will give you some hilarious sound bite that you could report on. Edwards is the biggest character in the league but in the most positive way. Future bright as the sun.

  10. No wonder NBA GM's keep making such stupid, disastrous moves when the talking heads like these guys are praising the terrible decisions.

  11. People are wayyy too high on OKC. They’re almost as overrated as Lakers, which is really saying something. OKC will probably sneak into the playoffs as a lower seed, but if you think they’ll make it out of the first round then I have some Blockbuster stock to sell you

  12. Paul George for SGA, Danilo Gallinari, and 7 first round picks has to be one of the worse trades in NBA history.

  13. Yall rlly not gonna mention Dillon Brooks by name and act like he didnt help turn Memphis into a top seed the last couple years

  14. Everyone should be watching the Thunder this year.

Shai is STILL underrated by most casual fans. JDub couldn’t see for half the season cause of an eye surgery, and the 2nd half of the year he averaged 20-6-6 on amazing efficiency.

Giddey is only 3 months older than Brandon Miller.

And didn’t even mention Chet, who is an exact fit to fill their nuggets weaknesses (post defense and rebounding)

  15. Bontemps is forgetting important factors for Chet playing center he has that dog in him and 7’6 wingspan and unique defensive instincts. Also JDub bulked up this season to help Chet and has great athleticism and like 7’3 wingspan himself at power forward he already guarded some 5s last seasons a few times

  16. This show is so much worse than the Lowe post podcast, Tim Bontemps ruins everything he touches.

  17. The thing that Bontemps should consider when it comes to the Thunder and the Center position, is that Chet won't always be stuck just guarding in the post. The Thunder have preached position-less basketball for a while now and their defense can switch match ups well. Jalen Williams (J-Dub) has a 7 ft 2 in Wingspan and can contest well. Josh Giddey is 6 ft 8 in and can switch if necessary. Off the bench this year will be, Jaylin Williams (J-Will) who led the NBA in charges drawn and Kenrich Williams who was top 5 in charges drawn as well before he was injured. Poku has the length to be a good help defender as well. Bottom line, the Thunder switch so well that most nights they do not need a true Center playing 25+ minutes a night. The Thunder were a top half of the league team defensively without Chet last year and their starting "Center," was 6 ft 10 in J-Will who doesn't have near the amount of defensive intangibles as Chet. If the Thunder can win with J-Will playing heavy minutes at Center, I don't think they'll struggle substituting him for Chet.

  18. I wonder if Windy's talking about the Spurs with having been in full practices for weeks? Lol. It definitely seems like they've been in 'training camp-lite' since August. Go Spurs Go! Lol.

  19. The Kings replace Richawn Holmes, Chimezie Metu, and Terrence Davis with Javale Mcgee, Sasha Vezenkov, and Chris Duarte . . . But now they are worse off than last year. ???🤔???

  20. I don't think Chet will have a problem guarding Centers in the league since everyone is basically playing on the perimeter. Nobody is learning post moves or even trying at this point. He still needs ti get his strength and weight up a little. He might even be a missmatch most nights because of small ball line ups.

  21. I know its in fashion to be high on the Thunder but I think the lack of shooting in the starting lineup is going to limit their upside. They have no one in the starting lineup that shot 36% or better on 3s last year. I wouldn't be surprised to see someone fall out of the starting 5 if one of the bench shooters can step up.

Giddey: 32.5% on 3.1 attempts per game
SGA: 34.5% on 2.5 attempts per game
Dort: 33% on 5.5 attempts per game
JDub: 35.6% on 2.7 attempts per game

Chet could be their saving grace, as he shot 39% on 3s at 3.3 attempts per game at Gonzaga, but college 3P% isn't always a great indicator for NBA 3P%. NBA scouts often use free throw percentage to determine how good of a pure shooter a prospect will be, and Chet shot only 72% from the line in college.

I am sure that Giddey and JDub will improve throughout the season, and Shai is already a bonafide star, but now NBA teams have a whole year of tape to gameplan against them. I just don't see them making it out of the play-in without some sort of move to get a shooter in the starting lineup.

  22. I'm favoured, $60k every 4weeks! I can afford anything and also support God's work and the church
