[Jon Krawczynski] The Timberwolves have reached agreement with Trevor Keels on a contract for training camp, sources tell @TheAthletic. Keels is a former McDonald’s All-American from Duke. He had a 2-way deal with the Knicks last season.

[Dane Moore] The Wolves have one open roster spot and one open two-way spot.
With Exhibit-10 deals for Vit Krejci, Daishen Nix, Trevor Keels and maybe another coming, the Wolves are taking looks at young players who excelled at the prep level…
Krejci, 23 years old — started playing professionally in Spain at age 16
Nix, 21 years old — 5-star recruit, was a McDonalds All-American and played for the G-League Ignite
Keels, 20 years old — 5-star recruit, was a McDonalds All-American and played for Duke
Quick look at google shows his best g league highlight tape is from the game vs Iowa
This kid made a big mistake leaving duke after one year.
Former teammate or Wendell Moore Jr I believe.
My brain saw “reached agreement” and read “McDonald’s” as “McDaniels” and got way too excited for a second
Another perimeter player with size and playmaking. It feels like the goal is to have a huge stable of interchangeable/versatile perimeter players that can all drive and kick, enough size to put up a fight against forwards while having enough speed to hang with guards, and then hopefully be able to knock down enough threes to keep defenses honest. The best of the camp invites maybe gets on the main roster. Best of the main roster (Naw, Shake, TB, Wendell, etc) gets rotation minutes. And the very best of those rotation guys might even be able to start next to Ant in 24-25.
