Out of nowhere, the Toronto Raptors have really entered the sweepstakes for a Damian Lillard trade. When it seemed like all the noise has stopped, the Miami Heat “dared” the Portland Trail Blazers to find another trade that is better than the Tyler Herro + picks that they were offering and up stepped Masai Ujiri’s front office to potentially make it happen.
Damian Lillard may have requested a trade months ago now, but the determination to have himself land in South Beach has resulted in Dame now being less than two weeks away from having to report to Blazers media day and training camp.
If Portland becomes desperate enough to move Dame elsewhere, should the Raptors be the team that pushes to make it happen and what would it cost? Is it worth moving on from one of Pascal Siakam, Scottie Barnes, and OG Anunoby to get the superstar point guard in a Raptors uniform? Which one makes the most sense?

I'd give up OG if it can happen…as much as I like him, the talk of him being a Kawhi like 2 way player sounds nice but hasn't really happened and it's been a couple years where he's improved but gotten to all-star level.
If we give up one of just OG or Barnes then it makes sense to do a trade
If it costs Scottie I don’t want Lillard
trading dame is the first step in acquiring Giannis if he really wants out. It's worth the risk IMO. I would trade scottie and try to keep OG and Pascal for the big 3.
Think the only way we can make a trade and still be competitive is to make a package around OG or Scottie but I am not ready to give up on Scottie

Everybody was thinking we had no direction. I told everybody Toronto's management always has a direction just because we don't know it doesn't mean there isn't one.
OG is absolutely someone I would say keep at all costs, but the thing is that I don’t truly believe people are ready to see the money teams will throw at him this free agency. With all the other contracts that we would have to address as well, I’m starting to become open to moving him. Despite the fact that I think he’s the perfect winning player. Interested to see what happens, but if I’m being honest, I want to avoid this Dame trade. We wouldn’t have FRPs for years considering we already gave up this years for Jak.

I’d give up Siakiam, Precious Trent Jr and 3 first round picks the third being a a top 10 lottery protected.
I'd Rather give up Pascal + "lesser assets" for Dame + "better assets" in some kind of 3 team trade with Atlanta.

I dis agree. Dame is not able to carry a team to win a championship. Even if we trade for him we don't have the same role players the same way Kawhi did. Dame wants to win now and the Raptors is not the team who can deliver that.

If I’m forced to make a trade for Dame, I’d rather trade Scottie instead of OG. OG’s 3-and-D fit alongside Dame and Siakam is far better than Scottie’s playmaking and lack of shooting.
Scottie Barnes will have such a breakout year … he's the best player we have drafted … patience… trade og siakam but not barnes …
I guess we are trading O.G. Barnes, Boucher & Downtin or Thaddeus, FOR Giannis A. Barnes was Rookie of the Year but it will be another 3 years for Scottie to be able to beam. It's not worth it unless you can get Giannis and Lillard on the team together with the rest of who's here? I really would not like to lose Scottie. I would make the trade and include Scottie Barnes. My logic is that it would make the team a top 6 team capable of winning the East. I'm not as confident as everybody that Barnes is the type of player to build a team around. I see him as the Scottie Pippen type of player, so you will still have to get a superstar and they are hard to get. People forget that if it falls apart they can trade everyone before the trade deadline. Finally, most draft experts consider this draft class to be one of the worst in the past 10 years, with no superstars, so it wouldn't be a big risk if the go for it.
If we lose both pascal and Scottie . This is not a good deal for raptors .
