I like Stevens as a pickup but an exhibit 10 means he’s unlikely to actually make the roster.
Looking at our camp roster:
* Non-guaranteed contracts – Luke Kornet, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, Dalano Banton
* Exhibit 10 / Camp – Lamar Stevens, Taylor Funk
As a minimum, we need to cut 1 player before the season starts. Potentially more if we’re planning on signing other free agents.
These guys I’ve listed are the 5 options.
Luke Kornet is the #1 guy on that list I’d say is pretty safe. Svi was ready to leave the country before we convinced him to sign, so you have to think he’s a decent chance to stick around.
Stevens and Funk are the most likely to be cut unless they really impress. They’re essentially not even on the team, they’re just being given a chance to try out and maybe help our other guys get through their own workouts.
I would like Stevens though. So hopefully he impresses.
