    No. There's zero evidence that Dame is a bar-raiser or can lead a team to a championship, lmao. No idea where all of this is coming from! If he goes to Toronto, they ceiling is a 4 or 5 seed. Lillard isn't remotely close to the player Kawhi was nor do they have the same depth.     LIlliard is not going to a "win instantly" situation. Maimi doesn't want a guy who doesn't play defense, especially if it costs tons of assets. The cost of getting LIlliard is so high, it's hard to imagine most teams trading for him, and it also harms his "I want a title now" desires, because teams will have to deal so much, it will kill their depth. He's an aging player with a huge salary. He has two years of elite play before a huge falloff begins.

    I can't stand Perkins. The takes this guy has on things just boggle my mind. No Nick nurse? Fine. Maybe now we'll play teen bowl instead of ISO ball every play. No more Fred? I'm sad to see him go but I'm not going to be sad to watch him Chuck bricks from half court because none of the other players are moving because nobody's calling any plays.

    I think this is a perfect opportunity to build a system around Dame and optimize the team to everybody's strength. It's a fresh start with talented and strong players.
