[Wolstat] The Trail Blazers have “long coveted” OG Anunoby. Anunoby, Gradey D*ck, one first-round pick, and one first-round pick swap would presumably be the main trade assets the Raptors offer up for Damian Lillard.

> OG Anunoby is a premier two-way role player with designs on being seen as more than that. It probably can’t happen in Toronto, if Scottie Barnes or Pascal Siakam are around, but it can in Portland.

> The Blazers have long coveted Anunoby, though he’s heading for unrestricted free agency and has little incentive to extend now when he can get much more by waiting until the summer.

> If Portland gets the chance to talk to Anunoby about his intentions, he makes sense as a centrepiece of a deal, along with Gradey Dick — the 13th pick of the most recent draft — and something like a 2026 Raptors first-round pick (Toronto already owes a protected first to San Antonio in 2024, so can’t deal one then or in 2025), a 2027 pick-swap option for Portland and Precious Achiuwa or Christian Koloko, plus salary filler (Thaddeus Young, Otto Porter Jr., or even Gary Trent Jr. back to Portland or to a third team like Phoenix, with Deandre Ayton going to the Blazers). That’s the type of deal that could satisfy both sides.

Even though Barnes is more valuable. I’m surprised they would rather trade OG since he’s more of a “win now” piece.

Lol an expiring, gradey dick and 2 first rounders.
Masai really going to take Cronin to the woodshed

Yuck. Just get this shit over with already.

Why are you censoring someone’s last name? Kinda disrespectful.

If we then trade nurk and scraps for ayton im really pleased. Og is a great piece. Dick is a scorer with potential. Way better then miami imo.

That’s not even what the Raptors are offering, that’s a theory offer. If that was actually the package a deal would have been done. Miami is probably not offering anything near that.

If we could get this package while also grabbing ayton from the suns, I would be fine with it. Sign OG long term. You have Ayton long term. Find a trade for Grant either at the deadline or next offseason. I would prefer anfernee eventually gets traded as much as I like him, I just feel like he is far better utilized as a PG and not an sg. Move Sharpe there. Now you have a pretty decent squad and an accelerated rebuild that relies on Scoot and Sharpe getting good pretty quickly.

Either way this is a way better package than miami could offer because none of their pieces make me look like I do at an ayton or OG and think wow thats actually pretty good. Don’t care about jaquez or jovic, herro is redundant in portland. Their picks are the only thing and even then, they are always good so I wouldn’t bet on it.

So if OG leaves it would be Lillard for Gradey Dick and a late first since there’s no way that swap is happening.

We’re certain that’s better than the Heat offer?

If you are sending an expiring OG you don’t get to send just 1st. You get to send 2-3 AND swaps.

    Dame-Trent-Barnes-Siakam-Poetl
With Schroeder, Prescious, Boucher, etc off the bench. This team will be top 3 in the east.

  11. Folks if these are the parameters then Barnes might be the dude going to Milwaukee with picks when Giannis indicates he won’t re-sign there after this year or earlier if they shit the bed.

Jesus Christ. I can’t hate that more. OG is great at $16-$20 million per year but not on a max extension. He’s 26 and has never averaged more than 17 points in a season. And didn’t we just pay a small forward a shit ton of money?

He was 81st in player efficiency rating, right behind Ant.

And dick, who I like way more , is also a small forward. Terrible idea and roster design. FFS.

Long coveted OG because he likely pairs well with Dame defensively. Not sure we covet him on an expiring deal in a rebuild.

Surely both parties recognise that, more likely to see OG with Dame in Toronto than OG in Portland.

If OG doesn’t resign then it means we traded our best ever player for peanuts. I love the upside of this deal and still like it better than Miami but it’s risky
