Plus, It could work because if Josh doesn't show out, Buddy can play the 3. And if you're questioning the defense. Remember Mavs Wcf, Mavs was a top 5 defense with a backcourt of Luka and Brunson, AND Dwight Powell as their defensive anchor smh 🙄.
Mavs can be a better defensive team when Luka tries on defense, and Kyrie is now an underrated defender who I believe is a better defender compared to Brunson. So now, with Luka having more help offensively and being more in shape, he should try more on defense, not being at least a liability anymore.
As a bulls fan buddy hield makes no sense as a fit and I'm not a fan of his theres a reason hes never been on a playoff team
NBA has too little draft rounds,and the value of 2nd round picks is next to zero.Look at NHL,where even 3rd rounders are considered valuable. Of course,I'm kidding,but yeah,the job of GM in NBA isn't the easiest when you have so few assets to operate.And taking into consideration sky high salaries the stars demand,it's a very thin edge for manouvring.
As a mavs fan i dont think it makes too much sense but possibly a tim hardaway jr for buddy swap just because the pacers still need shootingish and its more buddy wanting out than the pacers wanting him gone and rick carlisle also really likes THJ and loves playing him tons of minutes lol. Not saying it makes a ton of sense but just a possibility.
I would add the Rockets to the list, they need to replace KPJ and can use his contract to make the money work in a Hield trade, plus they have the picks to entice the Pacers to trade for a dead asset. Plus the Pacers save money on the deal.
Send Daniel Theis and Hield with a protected pick to Nola for Herb Jones! They have puddle depth center rotation and need shooters like yesterday

Your fellow kings fan here. I did not like buddy. He was a bad player. He's a bench player that got TOO MANY MINUTES. He thinks he's a STAR. He's not as GOOD as you think he is. Can he SHOOT. Yes. Can he do anything else. Nope.
CAN BUDDY CHUCK UP SHOTS. OH YES. Any bench player chucking up 15-16 shots a game is bad.
History lesson. I remembered watching a suns vs kings game. It was buddy vs young Devin Booker.
Buddy scored like 18 points on booker in the first half. Booker had about 3 points in the first half. Buddy was trash talking booker.
The second half. Booker SHUT BUDDY DOWN. Buddy finished the game with 21 points (scored 3 pts in the 2nd half) and Booker finished with 22 points. And the suns blew out the kings by 23 points in the 2nd half.

Brooklyn makes a ton of sense, they need shooting next to Simmons and Claxton. Cam Thomas and Royce O'Neal could come back with a protected first or a couple seconds.
Cavs trade would be an admission of defeat in terms of okoro though the alternative is to hope he doesn't brick wide open 3s. I thought the nets game last year was the turning point for his shot but idk if it's ever gonna get to a respectable level. Between okoro and wade that's a lot of defensive length we'd be losing. A lot of pressure would be on hield and levert, particularly after losing love and possibly rubio. This is make or break for Mitchell. If he flames out again we're gonna be in trouble. Frankly, we should've kept Lauri sexton and ogbaji unless we were trading for Ingram. It's been a revolving door at sf.
Any rumors about him other bucks? Bucks need a reliable 3 threat to open things up for Giannis
