I just wish the Mavs would build a roaster with some sort of intention. Maximize your stars strengths, hide their weaknesses, limit positional redundancy etc. I hate that we are in a position where we have to cross our fingers that our rookies are ready right away, JG improves, Holmes turns back the cock… and if everything hits we can finally… make the playoffs again. Aspirations should be so much higher in Luka’s 6th season.

@Nick I am sorry, but you are wrong.
Dallas didnt play good defense during our WCF run. Our DRtg already dropped during the reg season AFTER we traded for Dinwiddie/Bertans. We were 5th before the trade (DRtg 106.9), 16th after the trade (DRtg 114.3). And in the PO we had the 2nd worst defense of all 2nd round teams. Only the Suns were worse defensively, and our offense was the reason why. And we were by a huge margin the worst rebounding team in the PO as well.
So no, teams figured us out and the league now had a blueprint how to beat our smallball lineups. The "Our Defense was goods during the PO run" opinion is nothing more then a mandela effect.
