Where were you and what was your reaction when you heard the Bucks had traded for Damian Lillard?!
I'm so fking grateful to jrue. I just had a conversation with my daughter and we talked about our memories of jrue and the buck. We agreed to follow jrue and wish him the best, wherever he lands, even if he plays against Milwaukee. Also, Grayson Allen played hard for us. We're grateful for his contributions, as well. Today is a happy day.

I'm forever grateful for Jrue. He will be missed defensively, the steal & lop to Giannis in Phoenix will be a highlight for the ages.
But with that being said I'm pump up about Dame. I know we'll take 5 steps back defensively with Jrue gone but we'll take 10 steps forward offensively and this will definitely help reduce the half court offensive struggles.

This is the exact trade. I actually wanted . Months ago, but I thought they might have to give up way more like a Bobby Portis or Marjohn Hell of a trade. I will miss jrue holiday But the last two playoff seasons he was just too inconsistent offensively I hope marjon gets the shooting guard spot he's young athletic maybe he makes the jump
Added Dame and Beasley 2 high volume tough shot makers so we have more guys who can shoot over people vs, struggling for the right shot.

I posted on Bucks Sub Reddit 9 days ago Jrue gets traded for Dame. It's only way it was possible. Jrue coming off an All-Star Season (first in a decade) and is one of the best defenders in the NBA. His salary was only one that made it possible as well. Jrue was talking about retiring in 2 years to spend time with family meanwhile Giannis said he wants to play with guys that are willing to sacrifice time with their family to win a chip. BUCKS GOT DAME!!!!
I appreciate y’all insight! Much respect to your well thought takes, and experience & history with this team! So much love for Jrue & his family to this state city & team. He will forever be engraved in milwaukee sports. The symbol of dame to the bucks is heavy. Monta Ellis & the moose were seemingly especially at the moment at least moral victories for this franchise, all sparking the groundwork for an already chip team, that just made an almost impossible move. I go back as far as getting excited for the Terrell Brandon move, also remember Todd day didn’t even wanna go to the NBA Caz he gotta go to milwaukee. There was a lot of lean years & bad decisions and bad luck. It def all changed when Hammond & McKinney choose Giannis, also chose to invest in him over Jabari Parker. The rest is history!
But just wanted to say keep up the good work, and it was a pleasure taking time and listening to y’all speak on that fear the deer

Jrue will be missed for sure, now the question for me is who will be filling the Starting shooting guard position
From a Blazer fan. Dame has never played with anyone as good as Khris Middleton and still brought the Blazers to the Western conference finals. He hasn’t been hurt he’s been sitting out so the Blazers could tank.
Cant believe it actually happened. Now if the bench players like portis, crowder and pat can be in their 2021 form, the depth + main squad is gonna be super duper scary.
Sad to see Jrue go but it had to be done. Jrue was adamant about retiring after his contract expires so to get such value back for him is phenomenal.
Big concerns for the bucks:
1) Will Lillard perform to his standards- diff factors come into play here.
First off, it is the first time lillard is gonna be a semi robin to giannis' batman, will be be cool being the no.2 guy after being the main option for the past decade?
Secondly, will the immense pressure of having to be an instant success get to him? He never had such spotlight shined on him as much as now moving forward. There will be alot more scrutiny towards his game now.
Third, will Dame pull a diva superstar move and bitch n moan about just to get bucks to trade him again.
2) aging squad and injury concerns. The bucks starting 5 is the oldest one in the league iirc. Will they stay healthy enough ?
3) depth (Guard esp) – Currently the only real rotation they have at the guard postion is malik beasley/pat and they dont have a true ball handler/shot creating backup guard. Losing jevon hurt the bucks in that regards. Also will the other rotational pieces have the same impact they had in previous years? We've seen ppl like pat and jae be a shell of their former self so it will be interesting to see.
4) championship or bust – it is a lil rushed / impatient to say this year is a MUST win but at the same time , the core isnt getting any younger and the giannis extension is still looming. If the bucks fail to make the finals or win the ring, what will happen to the squad after doing such an all in move like this.
