I think Kyrie had a bad experience with having people pressure him on personal freedom and that was a big reason he stayed in TX. No one is going to force a vaccine on you here.

Kidd knows he needs an infusion of youth ON DEFENSE. NO DOUBT either Luka or Kyrie will be on the floor with lively, Omax, Green and Williams and just see what happens. Our best defensive lineup might be our rotation.

Kidd doesn't hate rookies. Hardy doesn't play defense that's why he played less. Kidd loves guys who play hard on defense. Omax and lively fit that

Lively will play more. I think he’s going to shock the NBA and be a solid starter for us. Also, our center rotation is so weak he has less competition at his position compared to Omax where he has to compete with the 3s and 4s like Josh, Grant, Tim

I started watching a few days ago and hooked. I've been a MFFL since the 90's, I am excited about our rookies. O-Max will probably get more time starting, but Lively will be starting sooner than later as well.

101st in FT %
Eventually if he is to be one of the great ones this has to improve because he’s not going to wow us with his defense. Fitness, focus and demeanor have to improve dramatically or he will go down as a great offensive weapon that didn’t reach his full potential as a player. These are hard truths.
Clearly he can turn it on and off as he showed in game 7 vs Phoenix. Dirk had that fourth gear that
Luka currently lacks. Perhaps he and Kyrie aren’t meant to play together much because both have to mature well beyond their current state.
