The Trailblazers were never obligated to entertain any offers from the Heat!!! When Dame's reps started making calls to other teams, telling them not to make any offers for Dame, that's when the talks for the Trailblazers ended!!! That was a true slap in the face to the Portland organization. You want my best asset, but you want to prevent me from doing what's best for our organization??? Make it make sense!!!! If you were GM for the Trailblazers, you would have been pissed too. Dame may not have gone where he wanted to go, but he may be where he needed to go. Good Job Portland!!!
Miami and Dames agent is to blame for all the mess. Miami did the whole car salesman thing where they make you think your trade in is a piece of crap and make their junk sound like gold. Goodwin saying only to Miami did not give Portland a chance to see what market value was. You guys did this to the wrong team , we cant attract free agents so we depend on picks and trades to get anywhere . We may not have gotten the best value for Dame , but that's because of Goodwin and Miami and that's why a team like Portland will not work with ether and thats why Dame is not in Miami.
