(Especially considering Presti’s presser making it clear that blockbuster trades aren’t on the menu while they figure out the full picture of their current squad)

Absolutely love Jrue. He would certainly raise our ceiling for this season. But there’s a 0% chance this happens. Presti basically just said as much.

By no means do I think it’s going to happen, but Jrue Holiday fits in with this Thunder team both on court and off court.
He has the personality and work ethic the Thunder search for in the draft.
I just think it’s a season too early. If we felt like we could compete this season, Jrue would play the role of a better Dort. (Don’t hate me I love Dort just honest)

Damn, if Presti didn’t say shit yall wouldn’t be acting like scholars right now.
BE A FAN! Jrue alongside Shai would be something special

Is that the goal?

Like he is the perfect type of big player they will want when they want free agents, but they literally don’t know what they will have. Chet just got off a huge injury, who knows what happens there. They dump assets for a guard then it turns out we need a big or Jalen wants to play elsewhere and we need a wing. We look silly. In hindsight Kendrick Perkins might be lingering in Presti’s mind. That team was probably closer to needing the tip over the top than this one even is, and the trigger was pulled. Only for the guy to battle the towers in LA to be unusable as Miami got small ball started. Going smaller with an extra wing in Jeff green might have meant a championship. Probably not because a million other things happen and Perkins had value elsewhere too. I desperately want patience. I want a championship, not just another conference banner. Neither is even guaranteed, but still
