This is Going to Break the NBA…

The Damian Lillard trade rumors have finally come to a halt, with the Milwaukee Bucks snagging him before the Miami Heat could pick up the phone to outbid them. It’s obvious that Damian Lillard is gonna be an amazing co-star alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo, but it’s not just due to raw star power.

Dame actually solves a lot of problems for the Bucks, a lot of problems that were on full display during the Bucks loss to the Miami Heat in the first round of the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

The Bucks did unfortunately have to lose Jrue Holiday in the process of acquiring Damian Lillard, but Dame is more than likely gonna be well worth the price.

  1. This is the most I’ve believed in a team winning the championship since the KD Warriors

  2. Do any of y'all have any good resources for learning some of these plays that Alex brings up? Still trying to learn about basketball.

  3. How many pairings/trades over the years were supposed to break the NBA? I'm not expecting anything special for the first season together, second season will be dangerous.

  4. Love that Dame is finally getting some solid teammates but I feel the trade is overhyped. Dame would not be getting as much possessions as in Portland and if he doesn't drain those long distance 3, they end up on the losing end. Giannis rebounding will be key to their success.

  5. Don’t over look the fact that if Brook Lopez is setting that 2nd screen on the Spain pick and roll he is more than capable to pull that open 3 on the top of the key

  6. Depending on what Portland gets for Holiday this looks like they got fleesed by the Bucks tbh. Ayton has been one of the most disappointing no.1 picks i've seen recently…he's a good role player on a heafty contract. Fits a need I guess🤔

  7. Glad Dame got the environment he deserves to push for a title. Injuries still a concern tho. Middleton coming off an injury plagued season. Suns with Beal, Booker and KD still the superteam to beat on paper, but they’re the Nugget’s problem until the finals.

  8. Spain Pick&Roll with the trio yo mentioned will be absurd, just imagine being Gianni's guy and having to worry about having to help on Lillard, while being able to recover to the paint because Giannis is rolling and Brook Lopez is trying to stop you for doing that. It will be dunk or open three for ages, it's unguardable even if you had Holiday, Draymond Green and JJJ defending it

  9. I love jrue but his shooting in the playoffs during his bucks years was terrible. The offense is going to improve significantly, especially if giannis drops his iso attempts. Im also really impressed the bucks didnt include marjon in the trade and still pull it off

  10. Nothing is guaranteed. This looks great on paper, and i hooe it does work out but dame is a minus on perimeter D, so thats one weakness. Of course they've got elite rim protection but i think it will take some time to bed in and Dame is 33 so they've got a ahort window.

  11. As a heat fan just turn your device tf off for the next ….Idk bruh my entire feed is just dame in a goddamn Milwaukee jersey. it’s absolutely repulsive, dame really a Janus faced mf
