Looney says he refused Steve Kerr’s offer to sit him last season to keep his 192-game streak going

Full quote:

“There were a lot of games last year where we would have back-to-backs and they would have four guys sitting. They would ask me, ‘Want to take this night off?’ I’d say, ‘No, I’m fine. I feel good.’ But you have to make sure when you go out there that you don’t get hurt. Because if you do get hurt, then they’re not going to trust your word again (laughs). That comes with a lot of pressure and responsibility. I’m always going to be honest with them. I’ve had a good track record the last couple of years. So I’ll try to keep it up.”

Hope he keeps the streak alive this season as well.

  2. And one of the times Kerr benched him after 5 minutes anyway and we lost by 45. But the other long streak holders have this same asterisk.

Lucky to have Ironmen like Looney and Wiggs on the squad 💪

We actually *need* him to keep that streak alive. I don’t want to get into a situation where JoKu is the center by necessity.

It’s crazy how todays players are considered soft for things out of their control. Teams rest players, “todays players are soft they don’t even play”, the refs call certain contact a foul ( except for Steph) “todays players are soft, everything is a foul”

  6. Loon is the man of the fans!!! He’s always available babbbyyy 💪💪

  7. As long as we can keep kawhi from running over him.

(I still don’t know how that wasn’t an offensive foul)
