I think the ceiling is the play-in tournament. 16 games might not be a great sample size, but I’ve seen no evidence that Luka and Kyrie’s respective games mesh at all.

Kyrie and Luka will both get buckets but over the last two seasons the Mavs have lost 4 starters while only truly gaining 1, its no surprise they're sinking to the bottom of the league.
i just don't like their roster. their only hope is if the Lakers roster somehow doesn't gel and they trade some of their pieces to the Mavs for Kyrie.

Without any defense from their backcourt, I’ll say their ceiling is the play in tournament
They were one game out of third at the time of the Kyrie trade, and ended up in 10th. That’s only the effect of Kyrie sinking his teeth in. Wait until he injects his patented toxins.
With Lukas offensive load reducing next season he’s gonna give you more defensive effort. Don’t forget lebron was a bad defender until he turned 24 in 2008/2009. It’s time Luka takes that leap

As long as Luka is crying to refs, they ain’t goin anywhere. There should be a stat describing when Luka fails to play defense, because he’s shouting at refs. Mavs look like they’re playing 4v5 sometimes.
