No chance I'd play. Harden acts up and gets his way almost every year and now I'm the one that doesn't because I didn't misbehave? I'd retire before playing for anyone other than Miami. All that's providing he's financially secure and didn't make some terrible decisions with money. If not, then you gotta do what you gotta do.
Clyde Drexler is and was a better player than Dam. The team at least made it to the finals.
Chin up Miami Utah did t he same thing to my Knicks last year with spida
Time to get to work. Go get it!
So it’s like this now , players are in it for themselves , teams are irrelevant, just players joining others for the easy ring ?
Pat Riley has made the Finals at least ONCE in each of the last four decades.
Read that sentence over and over again until it sticks, then realize that man has forgotten more about how to win in basketball than any or all of us can or will ever know. Then realize if he wanted Dame in Miami, he'd have moved what needed to be moved to get him there. I don't think he wanted him there and he had to have had reasons for not wanting it.
Good on Dame for running from the very grind he blasted others for doing and landing with Giannis. So now not only is he worse than Durant, he lands alongside a Top 5 player eerily similar to what happened with Clyde in 1995. (That worked out pretty well for him, he won a title with his old college teammate that same season.) With Dame caving, this means the longest tenured players with any team…are the three in Golden State. Yes, Steph/Klay/Dray are the longest tenured with the team that drafted them in the Association. That's how bad this has gotten. Nobody wants to stick it out anymore. Portland was not obligated to get him to Miami for an expired gift card on the $50 bill. Dame signed a long term deal and then decided, hey I wanna leave. Then to think he can just walk it back…good on Cronin for saying no to that. Worst possible thing you could do, especially with Scoot on board is have someone there who has made it clear they don't wanna be there. Cause as Durant showed last season, that doesn't go away. You still want out, you just know you can't get it right then and there.
It's not what it was and I can't stand it. I miss the days when players stayed around for a while, but this is the new order of the day in the NBA. This is what happens when 'player empowerment' goes too far. Contracts are meaningless. Milwaukee adds Dame but unless he's a solid defensive player, I don't know if this is the major difference maker most think it is. Boston losing Smart really hurts now, cause he most definitely could've been a Dame Deterrent in the playoffs. Now it's just a bunch of flawed teams hoping they can make it through the conference before likely catching that work from whoever wins the West. Cause West Side really is the best side this upcoming season. One more month until we tip it off.
Can someone tell this guy, that Jimmy complaining about the gas price filling up his Bugatti is exactly the joke that is going over his head. He a troll, it's irony. He's not serious with it, are you really that naive?
As soon as I heard about this trade, the first thing I thought of was "what does Jim Rome think?" I mean, Rome is clearly the mind of the masses. Probably the greatest mind in sports!
Is Rome a poster boy for JFM and plastic surgery now? Asking 4 a friend
Ironically, the Heat could salvage their offseason by getting Holiday. And he would be a far better fit than Dame.
Rip city will always love Dame.. now go get a ring. We will be watching. Dame time forever
The Lillard Giannis high Pick n Roll is going to be the most efficient higest scoring PPP in league history
Im a Bucks fan and im so happy they made this bold move. Something i wished my Packers would've done for Rodgers when he was still there.
The Heat lost the finals and lost dame in trade talks 😂😂
Im happy that trailblazer put daame on another small market team that has the best chaamce to win aa championship, portland did good for dame.
Portland won the trade they are going to be a beast in the NBA. The sun's did not get better KD is injured some time and they lost a top 5 NBA center that was young.
I'm a Portland fan. Portland is not a magnet destination like Miami. We couldn't attract a super star to play with Lillard. Trading was the only way we could get Dame a real shot at a championship. Glad he went to another small market team😊
Joe Cronin needs to be fired Dane wanted to rescind his request after failed Miami trade
great video but I still feel bad for Dame
It's too early to call the Heat the losers. If Heat can get Jrue, they, too, could come out well.
Whoa Jim Rome is still on the air?
As a lifelong Bucks fan, this move is akin to Reggie signing with GB. So glad the Heat got hosed after running their mouths for weeks about this. Biggest losers. First the Finals, now on Dame. Beautiful!
You gotta play defense if you wanna play for miami
