  1. This is nothing new for Riley. He hasn't done shit for years! It's definitely time for him to retire. Also Dame and his agent said he was fine with Milwaukee or Brooklyn

  2. Another team that misses out on stars is Toronto. Man they really overvalue their players

  3. I think it was either :

Portland was trying to finesse the Heat out of excessive amount of assets and Riles wasn't haven't it!!!!

    Or:

Portland was never really serious about trading Dame to the heat from the jump!!

  4. What if this was just masterly excecuted long con from Damien Lillard? 1. Get Super max. 2. Request trade. 3. Make your trade value drop by telling that you are only ready to play in Miami and put posters on twitter how you will be next Heat legend. 4. Tell Bucks that you want to trade there. 5. Get traded cheaply (vs past trades of great players) so your destination team is not cripled. 6. Profit.
This was dream trade for Lillard in 2022: "Damian Lillard Says He'd Team with Giannis Antetokounmpo If He Could Pick Any Player".
Don't take this seriously. Just writing for fun.

  5. Miami not moving heaven and hell to get Lills, despite what Riley is saying publicly now, is the NBA Headscratcher of the Year for me. I wonder what actually went down, whether Miami players pitched in their voices and some black-balled Dame, or Portland was pulling bad strings, etc. They know something Joe Public doesn't and they'll keep that to themselves, by the looks of it. For now, at least.

  6. Except for the Herro stuff, a questionable take. Miami never had the leverage. Riley’s hubris cost them Dame. Blazers got a better package from Bucks/Suns. It’s that simple.

  7. The Heat have their own first round picks in 2024, 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029, and 2030. So they could have done the same deal the Bucks did. 2029 unprotected first and swaps in 2028 and 2030. However, assuming the Sun's are still involved the better deal is Jrue Holiday from the bucks. Holiday makes roughly 33 mil. Herro is going to make 30. If you are Portland Jrue has far more value than Herro, so the Heat would have to throw in more. which Herro and who? Lowry? For Portland Jrue is far easier to move for assests than Herro and Lowry, don't think Lowry has a ton of value to be honest, at least not right now. Giving up someone else of value and Herro for Dame arguably could be a net negative. This is only a loss if the Heat could have gotten him for the picks, pick swaps, and Herro, anymore they could be a worse team. Again, I'm going on the assertion that Lowry isn't the trade chip people think he is.

  8. I think this is a huge move for the Bucks, I think this will be a great move for them, this will gear their team toward being one of the best offenses in the league, and in the modern NBA elite offensive teams tend to beat elite defensive teams because of the current ruleset. And Dame has historically lead some of the best offenses in the NBA despite basically playing by himself for a lot of his career. He is a 7x all nba player and the fact that the Bucks only needed to give up a bench roleplayer, two picks and a two time all star to get him is amazing.
As for the Heat, I don't think this is that big a deal, they still have time to make some moves and the Heat have a weird way of making even the most unlikely players shine in the right lineup. Losing two roleplayers isn't the end of the world for them, they always have a way of finding more of those. But true superstars in the NBA are in short supply, and I think Jimmy needs one of them if he wants to get over that hump. He's probably furious. But the Heat as an organization will live.

  9. I don't like how Blazer's are being portrayed as not acting in good faith, when Lillard made this public so that they can't get the best deal from the Heat

  10. “Most assumed Lillard would go to the Heat.” I never believed thought this personally. Once some of the offers for Dame leaked and Dame’s agent tried to push the Blazers to make the trade to Miami happen I knew the Heat the would be the last possible option for a Dame trade. Miami’s problem is that they weren’t active enough in creating a multi team trade that could make the Lillard trade work and overrated their assets. The Bucks helped put together a much better package that allowed for the Blazers to get off Nurkic’s contract, multiple picks that I personally think will really valuable in the future, and two players that they can either keep as part or their rebuild or move them for other assets down the line. This is a massive fumble by Miami and Heat fans no it and now we’re getting close to training camp and the regular season coming back and they don’t have a lot options in terms of improving their roster which in this offseason got worse. For a team that made the Finals the Heat have way more questions than they do answers at least from my perspective.

  11. Miami fumbled the bag. No question. What is in question is what is Tyler Herro if hes too good off the bench and not good enough to start. At $30+ million. Like Westbrook on 5he lakers. Over-qualified or Over-paid.

  12. Miami didn't offer enough and every Heat fan knows this, because Danny Ainge wanted EXTRA from n.y. in the Donavan Mitchell trade so basically Riley fumbled The Bag lol.

  13. I believe lillard will be somewhat professional about this hes literally joining a contender team he cant be that unhappy abt it

  14. I’m happy Heat didn’t get him! They got cocky! And Pat Riley thought he can do whatever he wants! Good! Good luck Miami getting back to the Finals now!

  15. it might be a long shot but i think the heat are setting up a three team trade suns and trail blazers

  16. All the talk was about how Lillard was going to the heat and how he would only play for the heat. They have to be fuming right now.

  17. Damian Lillard announcing where he wanted to go probably soured Portland on sending him to the Heat. By publicly announcing where he wanted to go he basically reduced what they could get from the Heat otherwhise in the eyes of Portland so if they are gonna get less for him might aswell be to somewhere else. Butler was saying the trade should be investigated for collusion but i think its explained thru human pettiness.

  18. It wasn't just the Heat, I know Dame was willing to go to training camp and even play the regular seaosn if he was still to remain a TrailBlazer. That's how much he loves the people and the city of Portland. Can we stop comparing him to the likes of other entitled NBA players, specifically James Harden who decided to hold off on the Sixers by not reporting to them unless he was traded elsewhere.

  19. I still don’t understand how you are betting on everything to get this deal done, meaning you have absolutely no leverage, that you will still try to bargain and everything. The moment they drafted Jaquez I knew it’s gonna be hard to get this trade happen

  20. Nobody had to call miami to know their offer. Herro and piks for dame? No absolutely fucking not thats such a slap in the face i dont blame the blazers for not calling miami. The bucks suns netted them way more assets. Ayton 1 unprotected and two unprotected swaps a few years from now when the 🦌 are garbage. So high piks to develop while this group is coming into their prine. Ayton is good enough center to take you to the finals. Got rid of old players. Dude the blazers did a fantastic job. Holiday is a way better trade chip than herro. Blazers didnt need anymore guards right now for their roster. Miami fans are in full blown cope mode. To be honest dame probably saw what the roster would be on the bucks post trade and probably said fuck miami

  21. Heat need to get some dept like John wall, Demarcus cousin, but we gotta get a Center so it can take the load off Bam so he can do extra stuff with his talent like Greek that why they have Lopez and porter

  22. The heat didn't lose that bad. They do a good job developing players and have tons of upside with players they have.

  23. Happy that DL could not decide on his own which team he was to be traded to. Screw that.

  24. They lost Vincent and Strus, Lowry has been on and off but mostly off, probably last season for Caleb Martin before he goes somewhere else, herro definitely feeling disrespected after that clown show of trading for lillard.. it's gonna be an amazing season for the heat this year..

  25. How do you know he really wanted to go to Miami? Maybe he really wanted to go to the Bucks all along.

  26. your ability to say absolutely nothing for 9 mins to get that youtube algorithm is commendable. this kind of channels are cancer
