[Spears] “I dodged a bullet and learned that today by the way it’s (positively) reacting. Even with an MRI you don’t see the trend of it immediately. The swelling is down,” Warriors forward @Money23Green tells @andscape about his sprained left ankle he expects to keep him out 4-6 weeks.

Of course it would be Mar Spears reporting it. Dude is giggling like a school girl his prediction of CP3 starting is going to happen. His picture even looks like he’s happy about it. Lulz.

[Shayna Rubin](https://www.mercurynews.com/2023/09/30/draymond-green-out-for-start-of-training-camp-with-ankle-sprain/) makes it sound like 4-6 weeks isn’t a definitive. See below:

    >The team confirmed the injury Saturday and is expected to provide a timetable for Green’s return on Monday when it opens training camp with Media Day. Green injured the ankle when he jumped and landed awkwardly on someone else’s foot during a pick-up game earlier this week at Chase Center, according to sources familiar.
    >
    >Initial reports from Bleacher Report and ESPN are that Green, 33, had an MRI and could be out four-to-six weeks.

    >“I dodged a bullet and learned that today by the way it’s (positively) reacting,” Green told Marc Spears at ESPN. “Even with an MRI you don’t see the trend of it immediately. The swelling is down.””

Particularly her saying timetable will come Monday and that *initial reports* said 4-6 weeks, which to me implies it’s not the last word. Also notable that Dray’s direct quote reported by Spears didn’t have the 4-6 weeks in it, but rather that was added on by Spears himself. Either way I look forward to complete clarity come Monday.

Edit to add for those who don’t click on the linked article by Shayna Rubin, the headline of the article is “Draymond Green out for start of training camp with ankle sprain”…*start of training camp*, which is also part of why I say Rubin makes it seem 4-6 weeks isn’t definitive.

does this 4-6 weeks include passing days and preseason? Is there any hope he’d be ready by opening night?
