    The most interesting part of all this is which jersey Dame will be remembered in NBA history wearing. Milwaukie has him for the next 3-4 seasons and a lot can happen during that time. People tend to associate players jerseys with the team they won the championship with.

    The issue is that when Cronin denied Dame returning to the Blazers, it showed him out to have lied to Dames face for the last 2 years as GM. If the entire time Cronin was pushing that they wanted a rebuild, and was honest about, then I’d agree that it wouldn’t be crazy to want to trade a player who requested out.

    Again, it’s not what he did, but how he did it.

    I hope everyone remembers Dame never asked out before Cronin & Cronin didn’t let him back. So we will all remember we lost Dame exclusively because of Cronin… never forget

    I really wish people would stop treating all 1st-round picks as if they are all equal. Those Bucks picks are waaaaaay better than Miami 1st-round picks. While Miami is a team that almost always finds a way to stay competitive, there's a very good chance the Bucks will be horrible in 2028-30 if Giannis asks out at any time before then. There's a very real scenario here where the Blazers end up with 3 good lottery picks from the Bucks in 2028-30 (the chances of that happening with Heat picks are not good). The possible upside of the Bucks picks combined with Jrue (who I'll talk about shortly) is what imo makes this trade an absolute homerun.

    Now, for Jrue, there are so many teams looking to contend who are going to want to find a way to trade for him. This means there is going to be an all out bidding war for Jrue, making it entirely possible that whenever the Blazers do find a trade for Jrue , it could be an absolute haul from a team willing to mortgage their future to win now.

    Dame and his agent were the most disrespectful by coming out and lowering his trade value, Cronin has no obligation to be respectful to Dame after he and HIS team were the ones discouraging 28 other teams in the league to trade for him. Bros agent said he wouldn’t suit up for anyone but the heat publicly, and people expect Cronin to “respect” Dame.

    It's a big boys game and Cronin won. Pat Riley lost.
