At least that’s another name off of the “Dumbass trade ideas to the Thunder” list for this season.

That’s not what a rental is but okay
butterbeancd
It won’t be a rental with the Celtics. He’ll sign an extension there.

They’re trying to win brother

It’s expensive for his age, but worth it. Ideally, the ’29 pick would have been protected, but with all the interest from so many teams, the deal probably wouldn’t have gotten done without it.

This has nothing to do with the Thunder. Can we stop the bs trade posts now please.

Welp…I guess I’ll see you all the next time an aging all star is set to traded 🤦

Ok but what if okc signed Rob williams though

It’s actually a solid trade my only gripe is I would’ve tried to have moved horford instead of Williams have give Portland some more draft compensation for it.
But I also understand the health concerns with time lord so i can also see why they may prefer horford and his steadyness instead over the potential he brings. It’s all just upside but not something he’s doing with regularity still.

?!? Great trade do Boston. Time Lord did not look the same after the injury, and they have the anti Dame stopper on Jrue.
The Celtics basically traded Brogdon, Smart, and Williams, two of whom are hurt regularly dnd Smart took a step back in defense this year, and. 2029 FRP (who cares about the warriors pick that will be in the 20s) for KP and Jrue. I get it, KP’s health can be in question, but that is a major upgrade talent wise for the Celtics.
charlesspeltbadly
i disagree, think its a good trade

What does this have to do with the Thunder?
twoshaun23
How’s this an overpay is Rob Williams and Brogdon are hurt majority of the time? They practically traded 2 frp for jrue who said he was interested in playing for the celtics.

Bro was an all star this year. I think this was a reasonable trade for them. He’s in his early 30’s and they traded two guys who are very good but very injury prone for someone who can help them now
Drizzt3919
They want to win. They are possibly that piece away/ he wants to extend. I wouldn’t call it a rental. I would maybe call it an overpay. But my understanding the market for Jrue was pretty hot. They probably paid market value. Supply and demand
