Yeah this will be an interesting one to see . On one hand, something similar to what Johnson got makes sense given. Even if Devin made in theory have a higher ceiling, his actual body of work and what he’s produced to this point isnt necessarily better than what Johnson did before he got his extension
On the other hand… Anyone with eyes can tell he has a higher ceiling, and the looming salary increase makes something like a 5/140 not as pricey as it may have been in the past
Anything from 5/100 to 5/150 wouldn’t be super shocking to me. That seems to be the low and high end of his current value. You take into consideration his promising two-way play, ability to hit difficult shots, the small sample size in the positive play involved, and his age and it’s likely to be somewhere in that range, which is immediately quite the vast gap between the ceiling and floor.
