This comes down to Tatum and Brown upping their game to win a title. If they fail this season, I see Brown gone in the offseason.
Jrue Holiday is HIM
The only thing that can potentially slow or hurt Celtics now is injury. They already got the depth and now their defense is also building up with these trades. I think Brad is not done tho 👀 Another big man coming, perhaps?

I agree about being excited….the C's addressed the needs that were imperative. I love the guys who left but getting a point guard with great offense and solid D…..Gaining a big man who is more of a offensive threat makes them harder to defend. For too long there has been too much JB and JT getting picked at the top of the perimeter. I expect great ball movement and a fast attack approach. We hope for great health and timely bench play 🤞
Celtics have built a super team without cheating
When they're both playing at their peak Robert Williams is far more of a unique player and more irreplaceable. Just look at his plus minus for the NBA Finals and in that playoff run. Then we mysteriously went away from him when Missoula took over.
This could turn out to be a grave mistake especially if R.Williams and Brogdon both end up being healthy next season.
I also really love rob but this is the reality of NBA. trades are part of this business to make a team better
I can't stand sportscaster hyperboles. This was a no brainer trade. Brad Steven didn't have to take much risk nor mortgage the future. Brogdan didn't turn out to be the floor general they needed and Williams always hurt. The GSW first round picks will be a late pick anyway and BOS 2029, that's an eternity away. In fact I feel Portland short changed themselves a bit.
You can't reestablish nothing on the defensive end with Chuck'em 3s mazzulla still as their coach
Whenever I see this chipmunk looking Chuck'em 3s coach It makes me cringe. I'm sure the Celtics will win their 2nd Championship🏆 in the last half century with a mazzulla.
Love Williams too, but he's always injured and he's only gonna be older. That's not a great combo. And to be honest, after his knee injury two years ago, he wasn't the same last year, not as quick and couldn't jump as high, which made him not as effective. I think Brad saw that regression.
Most importantly while Jrue isnt an elite playmaker he is someone you can trust to run the offense and slow things down and make the right plays
