I think it's about time we hold guys accountable…work an show that you can adopt to win again as a team before getting that mills..i agreed..however the problem now is the next trade deadline what will be raptors next move because they ofto make one..
Sounds like they wanted to trade Siakam in the summer and Siakam's response was this is my team you're not trading me.
Masai mentioned that they looked to go younger in the offseason and Siakam was talking about how he's the longest tenured guy and he's the best player etc.
with the recent trades by the Bucks and Celtics, they may as well trade Pascal and Anunoby now. Watch for Embid to move too
Samson Folk was saying Pascal was amenable to the extension but Masai said it wasn't offered. Masai said in media day he's waiting to see how he fits into system.
That's foolish. If you're not going to trade him extend him then trade him at the deadline or in the summer.
Masai really is going to end up letting FVV, Siakam, and OG walk for nothing isn’t he?
Siakim + Van Vleet + Nurse created a toxic work environment for the younger players including Barnes. Remember the younger players were expected to make a leap and they all regressed.
It’s not a matter of if it’s a matter of when Siakim gets traded. Masai just is picky and clearly doesn’t trade players for the sake of it.
The Raptors probably end up trading Siakim to the Hawks for Bogdanovic + Okongwu + Griffin + Bufkin who I believe the Raptors wanted to draft and thought they would draft because Dick would be gone by then.
Apparently Hawks don’t want to trade Bufkin. However them giving up a lot for Murray they are committed to competing and after the Bucks and Celtics moves they will probably need to include Bufkin to add Siakim or they will be left behind.
OG and Trent Jr were close with Barnes and Achiuwa so I expect they will be resigned and they are closer to the Barnes timeline.
Darko was hired for the franchise player not Siakim. Siakim is the best player but Barnes is the Franchise player or its what the front office believes.
I even think the rumour was Boucher was part of the veteran’s frustrated with the younger players and I expect he will be traded this season too.
Why is Thad Young still here when they could have waived him for only $1M earlier this summer? I think because Masai believes in his leadership however Sabotaging Nurse annexed him from the team not allowed him to have a voice.
The camp that says Scottie and Pascal can't complement each other is clearly GAINING MOMENTUM! It's unfortunate, but time will tell. I believe they can provided both are willing to, and also wanting to play unselfish ball. Darko also said the strong players will still get more touches, so I think Pascal will be staying. It must be so emotionally draining on him, however!
Please stop treating pascal like Gannis. As great as he was in the finals vs GS, he was equally as bad vs Boston the year after. It Pascal was a closer okay but he’s not that. 1-3 quarters. It’s not him I don’t think, players getting paid for abilities they may not have yet.

This is a business, can't worry about hurting a players feelings. Tell Pascal to suck it up and act professional. We are talking about 100's of millions of dollars,They should explore options.
Waive Thad and bring him back on the Coaching Staff.
Fred and Pascal's era at the helm of the team has been atrocious. We had good coaching, we had good young guys, and the leadership was bad from those 2. Fred spent half the time blaming "young guys" for every loss, Kyle and Demar never did that they coached them up young guys on the bench mob. Siakam has a huge opportunity to imprint the team with him as the undisputed leader. That interview sounds more like a guy who wants the bag and then dip like big V said.
